AMD Ryzen 7 2700X will be the new top-of-the-range processor from Sunnyvale's firm, a model belonging to the Zen + generation, and manufactured under the 12nm process FinFET from GlobalFoundries. This new processor has appeared in Geekbench showing excellent performance.
Ryzen 7 2700X processor shows excellent performance on Geekbench
The Ryzen 7 2700X has been featured in Geekbench alongside an Asus Crosshair VI Hero motherboard. The processor has shown a base frequency of 3.7 GHz, which seems to indicate that these second generation Ryzen processors will not offer their full potential if they are mounted on 300 series motherboards. This would be because 300 chipsets they lack support for Precision Boost Overdrive technology, which enables higher clock frequencies to be achieved. This new feature will only be available on 400 series chipsets.

Ryzen 7 2700X has earned a single-core score of 4, 746 points and a multi-core score of 24, 772. Excellent numbers that show the great work AMD has done with these new processors. It should be noted that DDR4 2400 MHz memories have been used for the test, so the performance would be even higher if faster modules were used.
AMD is expected to launch the new Ryzen 2000 processors throughout next April, we will have to wait to see if they really offer a significant improvement compared to the first generation models or is a marginal increase.
