We found the LGA 2066 socket and eight DDR4 DIMM memory slots. Noteworthy is the extensive 14-phase power section and three EPS12V 8-pin power connectors. It's a very robust VRM, but more importantly, it has excellent cooling, so you won't have a problem handling Intel's powerful 18-core processors.

There are four PCI-Express 3.0 x16 connectors on the board, to which you can connect up to four graphics cards. Notably, there is also a comprehensive set of drive and disk connectors, eight SATA 6 Gbps ports, three M.2 32 Gbps slots (all with cooling), and one U.2 32 Gbps slot are available.

MSI X299 MEG Creation also has a comprehensive set of network cards: a 1 GbE LAN, a 2.5 GbE LAN, and Wi-Fi AC. MSI includes the MANDER XPANDER-AERO adapter to connect four additional SSDs, and the MSI ThunderboltM3 card with two Thunberbolt 3 ports. Its price could be us 500 euros.
