The first motherboard of the Intel Z390 platform has appeared in the SiSoft SANDRA database, specifically it is a SuperMicro C7Z390-PGW that will continue to use the LGA 1151 socket that we have been using since the launch of Skylake.

SuperMicro C7Z390-PGW will arrive in the second half of 2018 along with the rest of the motherboards of the Intel Z390 platform, which arrives to offer compatibility with a new generation of Coffee Lake-H processors with configurations of up to 8 physical processing cores. The H370, B360 and H310 chipsets of lower ranges will arrive before.
The new Z390 chipset will add some new features to the platform, among them we can highlight a four-channel programmable DSP audio processor along with a SoundWire digital audio interface, WiFi ac functionality, a USB 3.1 controller and an integrated SDIO controller with support for Thunderbolt 3.
The arrival of the Z390 will mean that Intel has launched three high-end platforms within the mainstreal range in approximately a year and a half, the previous ones have been the Z270 and Z370 for the current Skylake and Coffee Lake processors.
