Intel core i9 appears
Table of contents:
Intel has been 'flirting' with the launch of several of its 14nm +++ processors without an iGPU, such as the Intel Core i5-9400F, or the unlocked and GPU- less Core i9-9900KF. Even though the i9-9900KF does not have an integrated graphics, it costs the same or more than an i9-9900. We are now seeing a curious i9-9900F in SiSoft Sandra's database, which is an even more modest variant than the two aforementioned pieces.
Core i9-9900F without iGPU or unlocked multiplier appears in SiSoft Sandra's database
The Core i9-9900F, seen in Sandra from SiSoft, is probably a version that comes with the multiplier locked and no integrated graphics. There are many who speculate that Intel is trying to sell defective stock processors, simply by deactivating the failed iGPU or blocking the operating frequencies.

The Intel Core i9-9900F should have the same eight-core, 16-thread, and 16MB L3 cache design, but with a locked multiplier. As for the frequencies, SiSoft Sandra shows that the processor works at a speed of 3.1 GHz, about 500 MHz below the "K" and "KF" variants. However, the chip seems to be capable of reaching 5 GHz in two cores and 4.8 GHz in four cores, although we cannot rule out that the tool is erroneously reporting these numbers.
Either way, Intel's strategy is to expand its catalog with processors without iGPU, although unfortunately this has no impact on the final price for us consumers.
