Intel core i5 8500 appears in sandra's database

The Intel Coffee Lake processors were announced a few months ago, an act that was still a presentation in a hurry to try for the sales of the successful AMD Ryzen. The Core i5 8500 is coming soon alongside the mid-range motherboards based on the B360 chipset and those based on the low-end H310 chipset . This new Core i5 8500 will be located immediately above the Core i5 8400 and could have an approximate price of about 230 euros.

As for its specifications, it would not stop being a vitamin version of the immediately lower model, with a total of 6 cores and 6 threads at a base frequency of 3 GHz and an unknown turbo frequency but that should exceed 4 GHz to differentiate itself from its little brother. Its natural rival will be the Ryzen 5 1600, which has twice as many logical cores thanks to its SMT technology, which gives it the capacity to handle up to twelve processing threads.
