Apple delays the replacement of the iPhone 6 plus battery until March or April

According to an internal document distributed by the Cupertino company to its Apple Stores and authorized services this week and to which the MacRumors website would have had access, Apple states that replacement batteries for the iPhone 6 Plus are scarce and will not be available until late March or early April in both the United States and other regions.

The same document reduces the wait to about two weeks for the case of battery replacements for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6s Plus models, while signaling its optimism that the batteries for all models iPhone 6s, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus and iPhone SE are available "without long delays" in most countries. Apple has also noted that delivery times may vary between regions.

Apple lowered the battery replacement fee last month for all customers who own an iPhone 6 or higher after it was revealed that some older iPhone models suffer from deliberate performance downturn to avoid "unexpected shutdown.".

This new discounted rate at € 29 announced by Apple will be available until December 31, 2018, in such a way that, unless you really need an immediate replacement of the battery of your terminal, perhaps the most advisable thing is to wait for a time to start the replacement process.
