Asetek announced today that Acer is its new OEM partner for data centers. Acer will incorporate Asetek liquid cooling technology into its Skylake dual high performance servers (W2200h-W670h F4). Asetek will showcase an example of a liquid-cooled Acer server at its booth (# 1625) at Denver's SC17, an event set to begin on November 13.
Asetek liquid cooling reaches Acer data centers
"As liquid cooling becomes increasingly important to HPC and data centers in general, Asetek's flexibility to adapt to server designs were important differentiators in our choice of partner for liquid cooling." said Evis Lin, General Manager of Server Products at Acer.
Asetek liquid cooling solutions for HPC data centers include RackCDU D2C (Direct-to-Chip) and ServerLSL (Server Level Sealed Loop). RackCDU D2C provides cooling energy savings of over 50% and a density increase of 2.5x-5x. ServerLSL provides liquid-assisted air cooling for server nodes, replacing less efficient air cooling and allowing servers to incorporate higher-performance CPUs and GPUs.
