Crucial announces new memories for 32gb nvdimm servers

Crucial today announced a new 32GB memory DIMM (NVDIMM - non-volatile) to help businesses preserve critical data in the event of system power loss and limit costly downtime. The new module, the first Crucial NVDIMM operating at 2933 MT / s, provides businesses with powerful and persistent memory performance while reducing the number of NVDIMMs required on a server.

The new Crucial NVDIMMs give businesses the edge when it comes to getting things done quickly by fusing memory with NAND in the module, providing near-instant access to data.

In the event of a loss of system power, the NVDIMM would back up the DRAM data to the NAND with the help of an 'ultracapacitor', its backup power source. Crucial NVDIMMs support the latest 2.5-inch drive bay and HHHL PCIe AgigA Tech PowerGEM 'ultracapacitors', allowing continuous power of up to four NVDIMMs during power loss until a copy of security.

With the latest Crucial NVDIMMs, users can also eliminate input / output bottlenecks that slow down servers and increase application performance on demanding servers.
