The arrival of the Intel Kaby Lake processors is expected for the month of January 2017 along with the new Intel 200 series motherboards with the Z270 chipset as the maximum exponent. The motherboard manufacturers are rushing to get their models ready and one of them is ASRock which has shown its first Z270s.
ASRock Z270 Gaming K6 and ASRock Z270 Pro 4 reveal their boxes
Zolkorn has managed to obtain the first images of the boxes of the new ASRock Z270 motherboards, the highest-end for the Intel Kaby Lake platform by including the advanced Z270 chipset that will be the one with the best and greatest characteristics. Let's not forget that the Intel Kaby Lake processors will also be compatible with the Intel 100 series motherboards that arrived with Skylake, it will only be necessary to update the BIOS to be able to install the new chips of the semiconductor giant.
The motherboards photographed are the ASRock Z270 Gaming K6 and ASRock Z270 Pro 4. It can be said that the name Gaming K6 belongs to the high range and is aimed at the most demanding users and gamers, for its part the name Pro 4 corresponds to the mainstream line. The ASRock Z270 Gaming K6 arrives in red and black, the box is quite large so it is expected that it includes a good number of extras as part of the bundle. On the other hand the ASRock Z270 Pro 4 comes with a smaller blue box. Both motherboards will arrive with prices in line with those of their main rivals in the market.
The boxes confirm that both motherboards are in the mass production phase in order to be ready for the launch of the platform by Intel at the next CES 2017 in Las Vegas, it is not ruled out that some manufacturers start selling some of their new plates before the official launch.
