ASUS sub-brand ROG is relatively new to the power supply market, having created its high-end Thor series in 2018. Now, ASUS plans to enter the low-end power supply market, revealing to the world its next ROG Strix series of Gold rated power supplies.
The ROG Strix series is designed to be more affordable than the ROG Thor, but not less reliable. ASUS ROG Strix series power supplies will come in 650W and 750W flavors and will ship with a 10-year warranty, guaranteeing their users that these units are built to last for years.
As an 80 PLUS Gold- rated power supply, the ASUS Strix series of power supplies offers 90% efficiency levels at 50% load and 87 +% efficiency levels at 20% and 100% load.
Availability and price
ASUS plans to launch its ROG Strix series of Gold 80 PLUS Gold efficient power supplies later this year. At this time ASUS has not revealed the price of its power supplies, which should be around 100 to 120 euros.
