Asus redefines the limits of mobile telephony with the introduction of the padfone ™ and the padfone station
ASUS, the global leader in the digital age, announces that its highly anticipated PadFone ™ and PadFone Station will be available in stores beginning in mid-July. ASUS has designed these new devices to deliver a whole new mobile experience. By itself, the PadFone is a next-generation Smartphone based on the Android ™ Ice Cream Sandwich operating system with a 4.3 ”screen, but when paired with the Padfone Station, it transforms into a 10.1” Android ICS tablet with up to 63 hours of autonomy.
Smooth transition between devices
The key to the tremendous versatility of the Padfone lies in the DinamicDisplay technology, responsible for fluidly adjusting content and most applications when switching from Smartphone to tablet mode.
The email application is an interesting example. Users will be able to dock or undock the PadFone while writing an email, and DinamicDisplay will automatically adjust the interface to allow them to take full advantage of the 10.1 ”1280 x 800 screen by displaying the email list in the inbox. This technology also ensures that the application remembers where you were when you went from smartphone to tablet or vice versa, so users can continue their game without having to start again.
Forget about syncing your data
The PadFone provides calculation and storage to the PadFone Station, so no matter what device you are using, you will always have your photos, documents and games available when you need them. But that's not all, the Padfone Station has a dedicated battery that prolongs the autonomy of the device up to 63 hours.
Two devices. A data rate. Maximum savings.
By coupling the terminal to the Padfone Station, the PadFone continues to use its 3G connection as an internet connection, which at the end of the year represents a significant saving, since users will enjoy the connection for both devices paying a single data rate.
Advanced performance
The PadFone features the 4th generation of Snapdragon S4 processors with dual 1.5GHz cores, an Adreno 225 GPU and a Super AMOLED panel that ensures quality graphics for games, movies, photos and any application. The PadFone also integrates one with 8MP, aperture F2.2, backlit CMOS sensor, and a 5-element lens that lets you record HD 1080p video and take sharp photos even in environments with limited lighting. It should also be noted that ASUS sound specialists have developed more precise codecs and protocols, as well as loudspeakers with wider resonance chambers to greatly improve the sound of the PadFone.
Accessories that make your day to day easier
ASUS designs products to solve problems that users face every day. With this goal, ASUS has created two innovative accessories: the PadFone Stylus Headset and the PadFone Station Dock. Both increase productivity and offer extra solutions, such as the possibility of answering your calls with the Stylus Headset or extending autonomy and connectivity with the Docking keyboard.
The Stylus Headset stylus allows you to write and draw on the screen and is also convenient for answering calls. This accessory also includes an alert system that alerts you if you leave the Stylus Headset behind.
Typing on a tablet screen may be fine for some applications, but the Docking keyboard enhances the experience by adding a full QWERTY keyboard. In addition, it extends the autonomy of the PadFone up to 102 hours, it has USB ports and a card reader to multiply your entertainment and productivity exponentially.
