Asus ROG XG2 allows to use external graphics through USB 3.1
Asus ROG XG2 is an external module for graphics cards that works through two USB 3.1 ports to offer not only the possibility of using top graphics cards but also additional connectivity such as a pair of USB 3.0 ports and Gigabit Ethernet among others. Its USB 3.1 ports are bi-directional and can be used to increase the bandwidth of the module.
Using two USB 3.1 ports achieves the same bandwidth as with a Thunderbolt 3 interface but with the advantage of lower latency. A great idea from Asus that will allow you to use external graphics cards on computers that do not have a Thunderbolt 3 port, although this requires two USB 3.1 connectors.
