Asus tuf gaming k7, the bet of asus tuf for optical keyboards
Table of contents:
ASUS has been one of the first to present at Computex this year and has brought us interesting news. Here we are going to take a closer look at another of its new products for gamers, the ASUS TUF GAMING K7, a good quality keyboard at a modestly affordable price.
The ASUS TUF GAMING K7 bets on optical switches
The ASUS TUF GAMING K7 keyboard is a keyboard with a special appearance. It has a silver metal body with black keys, a far cry from the classic dark keyboards . It is a fairly compact device and although it does not appear in the images, it will have a wrist rest.
Peculiarly, the LED indicators are on the movement arrows instead of on the numeric keypad. In the image below we can see the special button for blocking the Windows key and a little of the RGB lighting that it will have. Clearly, this system will be compatible with ASUS Aura Sync software .
And as we have announced, these keyboards will mount some optical parts to increase the overall resistance of the device. Not only that, but it will also have IP 56 resistance , so we are well defended from dust and splashes (Stand back, Magikarp!).
Optical switches are the natural evolution of mechanics. They have a similar response and feel and also dispense with the mechanical part, so the mechanism wears out much more slowly.
With these characteristics ASUS fulfills its theme well. TUF is a play on words, since the sound in English sounds the same as tough , that is, resistant.
In the image below we can see the optical switch that mounts the ASUS TUF GAMING K7. Because of the color, we are not sure what it may be, although there is a high probability that it is Kailh.
ASUS TUF, yes or no
ASUS has been offering us quality items for years. From its motherboards, to its graphics, through its peripherals, so we trust that this keyboard does its job.
We hope that it will be a keyboard that will last for years and of a very good quality thanks to its construction and switches. In addition, we can foresee that it will have an acceptable price between € 60 and € 90 , making it more accessible for gamers who do not have a large budget to spend.
As we have already repeated numerous times, despite the fact that we trust the brand, we cannot give you true conclusions until we prove it in an analysis. If you want a safe opinion, it is better to wait for the verified reviews or look for other models that already exist on the market. Although our first impressions are very good.
