Asus has unveiled the new Asus Z170-Pro motherboard equipped with an LGA 1151 socket and a Z170 chipset to support upcoming Intel Skylake microprocessors. Its most striking feature is the presence of a powerful 16-phase VRM power so that there is no lack of power or stability to achieve a good overclock.
If we continue looking at its specifications we do not find a powerful passive cooling system for the VRM and four DDR4 DIMM slots that support a maximum of 64 GB of DDR4-3000 RAM in dual chanel configuration.
Regarding connectivity options, we find three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots so we can configure a system with up to three graphics cards, also includes four PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slots, eight SATA III 6GB / s ports, SATA Express 16 Gb / s and an M.2 slot. There is no shortage of two USB 3.1 ports, eight USB 3.0 ports, two Intel Gibagit Ethernet interfaces, WiFi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and a high quality Crystal Sound 2.0 audio with its own section of the PCB, high quality capacitors and electromagnetic shield.
