Synack ransomware victims on the rise

Ransomware has become the preferred way for hackers to carry out attacks. We have already talked about various ransomware so far, and today it is time for a new one. This is SynAck, which we didn't know about until now. But it is increasing its activity significantly.

SynAck is not a ransomware that we have heard much about, although it has been active for a while. In fact, in the last month, victims have been claimed daily. But this activity has increased a lot these days. There are now about 100 victims a day. And the number is likely to increase further.

All the victims have been able to identify the type of ransomware thanks to the ID-Ransonware support service that has detected that it was this particular ransomware. Although experts have managed to detect up to three different versions so far. Each of these versions is sent through a different email account, but the operation is the same.

This ransomware does not use a custom desktop background, so to detect its presence it is through the ransom notes released on the user's desktop. This makes detection even more difficult. These are the three versions detected so far:

As usual in these cases , a ransom is requested. And it seems SynAck has already raised up to $ 425, 000 in Bitcoin, so the hackers behind this ransomware are doing more than profitable business so far. And it seems to be expanding even further.
