Biostar announces its hi motherboard

Biostar has announced a new motherboard for Intel Skylake with the particularity of offering support for both DDR3 and DDR4 memory, thus helping users to make a smoother transition to the new platform of the semiconductor giant.

The new Biostar Hi-Fi H170Z3 motherboard mounts an LGA 1151 socket and an H170 chipset to support the new 6th generation Intel Core processors. Next to the socket we find a VRM with 7 power phases and a total of four DIMM slots for memory, two of which are DDR3L (1866MHz) and the other two are DDR4 (2133MHz). In the case of opting for DDR3 we can install a maximum of 16 GB while if we opt for DDR4 we can install 32 GB.

Following its specifications we find a PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, a PCI-Express 3.0 x1 and two PCI slots. Regarding storage, it has four SATA III 6 Gb / s ports, one M.2 32 Gb / s slot and one SATA Express 16 Gb / s slot. Finally we find Realtek ALC892 audio, Gigabit Ethernet, four USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, HDMI, DVI, VGA and DisplayPort video outputs .

The board features high-quality components such as solid capacitors and ripple regulators to provide a more stable voltage to the CPU and other system components. The bundle is completed with the Smart Speed ​​LAN software that allows monitoring the behavior of the network, being able to prioritize those packages that interest us and the BIOS Flasher utility to easily update the BIOS.
