The effect of mining on the graphics card market is being somewhat devastating for stock and prices. We are getting to the point where some manufacturers are beginning to adapt commercial graphics card models specifically for mining, as is the case with BITNAND, with their custom GTX 1060.

BITNAND announces its 'special' GTX 1060 graphics card for mining

While AMD and NVIDIA are rumored to be considering launching mining-specific GPUs, some companies are already starting to do so. That includes BITNAND, which now receives orders for a mining-optimized GeForce GTX 1060. There are no video outputs on the card, and therefore no PCIe support either, although, like its gaming-focused counterparts, a 6-pin PCIe power connector is required.

As we can see in the image, the card uses a totally passive cooling system with a large heatsink that covers the entire surface of the PCB.

BITNAND says this card reaches approximately 22MH / s for ETH mining and 500H / s for XMR mining. The company ensures that the consumption is 70 W, which contrasts sharply with the 120 W specification of the reference GeForce GTX 1060. A difference of 50W could help justify the premium price of the card, as it would ultimately cost less on the electric bill.

BITNAND already accepts orders for its 6GB GTX 1060 card for about $ 389, an interesting option, especially due to the savings in electrical costs and generated noise.
