How AirPods work after being linked
As you may already know, with AirPods you can listen to your favorite music and podcasts, enjoy your favorite movies and series on Netflix or any similar service without disturbing those next to you, as well as make and receive calls and use Siri.
Once you have connected your AirPods to your iPhone, the magic is that they are connected to both the iPhone and the Apple Watch. That is why the change between one device and another when, for example, listening to music, is instantaneous and automatic.
Put them in your ears, and the sound from your device will automatically go to your AirPods:
- If you remove one of them, the sound will be paused. If you remove both, the sound will stop completely.
In addition, you can also use a single AirPod (an idea that is great for the office or if you want to extend the battery life even more). If you remove it from your ear, the playback will pause; And if you put it on again, playback will automatically resume right from where you left off.
And when you receive a call, double-tap one of your AirPods to answer, and repeat this action when you want to hang up.
How to customize the controls of your AirPods
You can use the AirPods in the way that suits you best. To do this, you must configure each of the headphones to perform a specific action:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone Go to the Bluetooth section Press the symbol
-
- Siri Play / Pause Next track Previous track
-
In addition, you can also change the name assigned to your AirPods. To do this, just click on "Name" and write the specific name with which you want to identify your Apple headphones.
Siri and the AirPods
One of the most outstanding functions of the AirPods, although I do not use it or have it established in any of the two headphones, is Siri.
If you have first-generation AirPods, you'll need to double-tap on the headset you've previously set up for it to invoke Siri.
If you have second generation AirPods, it will be enough to say "Hey Siri" for the virtual assistant to meet your wishes:
- "Turn the volume up / down" "Go to the next song" "Call dad" "Play the Music to study list" And more…
How to use AirPods on other devices
Before we said that the AirPods are simultaneously connected to your iPhone and your Apple Watch, but how can you use them on other devices such as the iPad or the Mac?
On an iOS device:
- Open the Control Center Hold down the tab for the sound you have in the upper right corner Press the symbol and choose from the list the device you want to use, in this case, your AirPods.
If you want to use AirPods on a Mac, just click on the symbol
volume control in the menu bar and select your AirPods as the output device. And now you just have to fully enjoy your AirPods and get the most out of them. Soon they will have become an accessory that you will never part with, or almost.
