How to take a screenshot on the new ipad pro

The most current models of the Apple iPad Pro, available with 11 and 12.9-inch screens, are the first iPads without a Home button. This has supposed and great change in the way in which we interact with the device, as it already happened in 2017 with the arrival of the iPhone X. Among those changes, now we must follow a slightly directive procedure to take a screenshot.

On traditional iPads, taking a screenshot involved simultaneously pressing the physical Home button and the On / Off button. Now the process is different, but the mechanics are similar.

In the new iPad Pro models introduced last October, taking a screenshot is just as easy, but the gesture to do so is a little different. To take a screenshot, simultaneously press the power button on the top of the device and the volume up button on the right side of the device.

The good thing about this new method is that the two buttons are located very close, so you can take screenshots with a quick gesture similar to a pinch. If you already have an iPhone X, XS, XS Max or XR, you will have been able to verify that it is the same way in which we can make screenshots on these devices that also lack a physical Start button.

Keep two things in mind. First, you must make sure not to press the volume down button, as you will not get any results. And second, remember to press and release, since if you hold down both buttons, a restart process of your iPad Pro will start without taking any screenshots.
