About 1.4 million websites dedicated to scam users are created every month. They are portals designed with the appearance of a normal website. But, its purpose is to be able to deceive consumers. And they usually disappear within a few hours of being created.

Being active for such a short period of time, cybercriminals seek to avoid being tracked. Something that usually happens on a regular basis. Also, when there are no links to other portals, the task of removing them becomes even more complex. The duration of each of these online websites is usually between 4 and 8 hours. So you can see the short period of time that they are accessible.

According to the report, Google is the most affected company. 35% of the phishing websites that are created each month are found on Google. Also in the list we find PayPal, Facebook, Apple or Yahoo. So large companies are some of the main affected.

In February the number of websites of this type barely exceeded 800, 000. But, in the month of May the figure rose to 2.3 million. So the trend seems to be on the rise, although this rise coincides with the presence of WannaCry on the network.
