Chaintech along with colorful has launched the new iGame Z97 motherboard equipped with an LGA 1150 socket from Intel compatible with the Haswell processors of the semiconductor giant.
The Chaintech iGame Z97 comes with a powerful 16-phase VRM power that is responsible for supplying the necessary power to the processor that is installed, the power comes through a 24-pin ATX connector and an auxiliary 8-pin EPS connector. Surrounding the socket we find four DIMM slots for DDR3 RAM.
Regarding connectivity options, it has three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots and four PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slots. Six SATA III ports and one mSATA port provide sufficient connectivity options for hard drives. The rest of the known features include high quality integrated audio with OPAMP circuit and electrolytic capacitors, Killer E2200 NIC network interface and Dual BIOS.
On the rear panel we find DVI, D-Sub and HDMI video outputs and mini jacks for 8-channel HD audio, it is not specified in the number of USB ports it has.
It will reach the European market although the date and price are not known.
