Coffee lake

Today we saw the Threadripper 2990X in all its glory with 32 cores and there was a part of the benchmark that had been leaked that was blurred. As it turns out, that 'blured' chip is Intel's next processor, the 8-core Core Coffee Lake-S.

Coffee Lake-S of 8 - Filtering results in Cinebench with the Threadripper 2990X

These results came from a Twitter account (Mobile01), so it is not 100% reliable, although several important sites have published it. The Intel chip is identified in Cinebench with the name "Genuine Intel CPU 0000", which could also be any other CPU, although they insist that it is the 8-core Coffee Lake-S (and probably is due to the result obtained).

That being said, all that has been considered so far, there is a pretty high chance that this is legitimate - especially considering the fact that the leakers bothered to blur the entry into the original Threadripper 2990X leak.

Komachi had previously seen the Coffee Lake S 8-core variant in the AoTS database as well, so it's no wonder we're seeing more leaks from the same CPU. In fact, if anything gives credibility to this leak. All the rumors point that the 8-core Coffee Lake-S processors will arrive later this year, taking into account the leaks the leaks that have been happening to this chip, it seems that we are very soon to launch.

Although it is an engineering sample, the chip achieves a score of 2212 which is already quite impressive.
