Comparison: asus zenfone 2 vs motorola moto g 2014
We start with a new round of comparisons between smartphones, this time the protagonist will be the brand new Asus Zenfone 2, a very interesting device and that comes at a fairly contained price for what it offers if we compare it with its rivals in the market.
In this first comparison we are going to compare the Zenfone 2 with one of the most desirable devices on the market and that has had a great acceptance since its arrival on the market, it is neither more nor less than the Motorola Moto G in its 2014 version, a smartphone it does not need any introduction due to its enormous popularity.
Design and display
Both terminals are made with a good quality plastic chassis that has the drawback of not allowing the battery to be removed. In the case of the Asus Zenfone 2 we find dimensions of 152.5 x 77.2 x 10.9 mm and a finish that gives a metallic appearance to the body of the smartphone, improving the quality sensation it transmits. Regarding the screen, it has a 5.5-inch panel with IPS technology and a FullHD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, resulting in 403 ppi and offering excellent image quality.
For its part, the Motorla Moto G 4G 2014 has a 5-inch IPS panel and a more discreet resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, resulting in 294 ppi, more discreet figures than the Asus model, but it does not stop offering excellent quality. picture quality. Both have Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protective glass to provide greater resistance.
Hardware
If we look at the insides of both smartphones we realize that they are very different from each other and that the two terminals offer more than enough specifications for the vast majority of users, even so it is evident that the Asus Zenfone 2 is at a level quite superior in terms of "muscle"
In the case of the Asus Zenfone 2 we find a 64-bit Intel Atom Z3580 processor manufactured in a 22nm Tri-Gate process and that has four cores with the advanced and highly efficient Silvermont microarchitecture of the semiconductor giant. The four cores operate at a maximum frequency of 2.33 GHz and are accompanied by the PowerVR G6430 GPUs from Imagination Technologies . Along with the processor we find 4 GB of RAM and an internal storage to choose between 16/32/64 GB that we can expand by up to an additional 64 GB thanks to the presence of a microSD slot.
There is a second cheaper version with “only” 2 GB of RAM and an Intel Atom Z3560 processor with the same characteristics except for a slightly lower frequency of up to 1.83 GHz.
In the case of the Motorola Moto G 4G 2014 we find a well-known 32-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor manufactured in a 28nm process and that also has four cores although totally different from those of the Intel processor. Specifically, it has four ARM Cortex A7 cores, which are mainly characterized by their excellent energy efficiency, which operate at a frequency of 1.2 GHz, in this case the cores are accompanied by an also well-known Adreno 305 GPU. Next to the processor we find 1 GB of RAM and an internal storage of 8 GB that we can expand by up to an additional 32 GB through the use of microSD memory cards.
software
It is time to talk about the operating system that runs both smartphones and their peculiarities, both come with the popular Google Android version 5.0 Lollipop. In the case of Motorola, it is a version very similar to the one found in Nexus devices and popularly known as " pure Android ", which guarantees the best fluidity and best performance possible within the Android ecosystem with the hardware present.
For its part, the Asus Zenfone 2 comes with the ZenUI customization layer with an attractive design and very good performance as has been demonstrated in previous Zenfone.
Optics
As for the optics of smartphones, we find quite large differences in favor of the terminal of the Taiwanese firm Asus. The Zenfone 2 features a main camera with a 13 megapixel sensor with dual LED flash and PixelMaster technology to capture more light, capable of recording video at 1080p resolution and a frame rate of 30 fps. For its part, the Motorola smartphone is satisfied with an 8 megapixel sensor with LED flash and the ability to record at 720p and 30 fps.
Regarding the front camera, selfie addicts can rest easy because both terminals incorporate optics in front of the terminal. In the case of the Zenfone 2 a 5 megapixel sensor and in the case of the Moto G 2014 a 2 megapixel sensor.
WE RECOMMEND YOU OnePlus 2 has its price permanently reducedConnectivity and battery
Regarding connectivity, we point out that both terminals have the most modern technologies, among which we highlight the following:
- Wi-Fi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac, Wi-Fi Direct, hotspot Bluetooth 4.0A-GPSNFC (Zenfone 2 only) FM3G WCDMA radio: 850/900/1900/2100 4G-LTE
In the battery section, we highlight the fact that neither of the two terminals allows it to be removed for replacement, something that this server does not like at all and surely many of our readers are also disappointed by it. As for the capacity we find 3, 000 mAh in the Asus Zenfone 2 and 2, 070 mAh in the case of the Motorola Moto G 4G 2014.
