Comparison: bq aquaris e5 4g vs motorola moto g 2014
Table of contents:
We started a new batch of comparisons between smartphones, this time we will have the BQ Aquaris E5 4G as the protagonist and we will compare it with some of the most popular smartphones and that have been part of our previous comparisons. Today we are going to compare the Spanish terminal with one of the most interesting smartphones on the market such as the Motorola Moto G in its 2014 version, we will see that in general they have very similar characteristics and that both are an excellent purchase option.
Technical characteristics:
Screens: Both terminals have a very similar 5-inch screen and a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution, resulting in a density of 294 ppi. Both have IPS technology and the difference is in the protective glass they use, Gorilla Glass 3 in the case of Motorola and Dragontrail in the case of BQ.
Processors: In the processor if we find appreciable differences between the two terminals. The BQ mounts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 consisting of four 64-bit Cortex A53 cores at a frequency of 1.2 GHz and the Adreno 306 GPU. In the case of Motorola we find a classic Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 consisting of four 32-bit Cortex A7 cores at a frequency of 1.2 GHz and the Adreno 305 GPU. Both chips are manufactured at 28nm and the performance of both is similar. Both Smartphones have 1 GB of RAM to guarantee an excellent fluidity in their Android operating system, in the case of the Moto G it can already be updated to Lollipop while the BQ will have to wait a bit and for now it complies with Android 4.4 KitKat
Cameras: Regarding the optics of the terminals, we found a significant difference in the main camera and in favor of the BQ terminal, which has a main camera with a 13-megapixel sensor with autofocus and LED flash capable of recording video at a resolution of 1080p. For its part, the Moto G is satisfied with an 8 megapixel sensor capable of recording at 720p . As for the front camera, the differences are again in favor of BQ with a 5 megapixel sensor compared to 2 megapixels in the case of Motorola.
Designs: Both BQ and Motorola have chosen to manufacture their terminals with a plastic chassis that sports a good quality finish. We found a difference in favor of BQ and that is that the Spanish brand allows you to remove the battery from your smartphone as opposed to Motorola, which does not allow you to remove the battery. Regarding its dimensions, the Moto G has a more compact size with dimensions of 141.5 mm high x 70.7 mm wide x 11 mm thick compared to 143.15 mm high x 72.15 mm wide x 8.7 mm thick BQ.
Connectivity: In terms of connectivity, the BQ Aquaris E5 4G is one step above its rival by offering 4G LTE, a feature that its rival lacks. In addition, both feature 3G, A-GPS, WiFi 802.11a / b / g / n and Bluetooth 4.0.
Internal memories: Regarding their internal storage capacity, both terminals match, offering the possibility of expanding their internal storage using a microSD card. The Moto G is only available in 8GB version while the BQ Aquaris E5 4G is available in 8GB and 16GB versions
Batteries: that of the BQ Aquaris E5 4G has a much higher capacity than that of the Moto G, with 2850 mAh and 2070 mAh respectively, so presumably the BQ terminal will have superior autonomy.
Availability and price:
The Motorola Moto G sells for approximately 175 euros while the BQ Aquaris E5 4G can be found for slightly more than 199 euros in its 8 GB version of storage and 219 euros in the 16 GB version.
