Comparison: iocean x7 hd vs xiaomi red rice

This time we are going to "confront" the iOcean X7 HD in some way with another Chinese terminal, the Xiaomi Red Rice, a company of the competition with enough recognition in the international market thanks to its smartphones, which have quite low prices and features typical of higher ranges. Throughout the article we will reveal as always the specifications of each phone, evaluating at the end which of them has a better quality / price ratio. Stay tuned:

Screen: The one of the iOcean is somewhat larger thanks to its 5 inches compared to the 4.7 inches that the Xiaomi presents. Both terminals share the same resolution (1280 x 720 pixels) and IPS technology, making it possible for them to have very sharp colors and a wide viewing angle. The Xiaomi screen also has protection against bumps and scratches thanks to the glass manufactured by the company Corning Gorilla Glass 2.

Camera: Both devices have an 8 megapixel primary lens with F / 2.2 focal aperture and LED flash. Its front cameras have different resolutions, being 2 megapixels in the case of the iOcean and 1.3 megapixels if we refer to the Red Rice. The video recording of the Xiaomi is done at 1080p.

Processor: the two phones have a CPU from the same manufacturer, turning out to be MediaTek MT6582 quad-core at 1.30 GHz in the case of the iOcean and Quadcore MediaTek MT6589 Turbo with four cores running at 1.5 GHz if we talk about the Xiaomi. Their GPUs are very different: Mali400MP2 for the X7 HD and PowerVR SGX544MP for the Red Rice . What they do share is the same RAM memory capacity: 1 GB. The iOcean has Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and the Xiaomi presents MIUI V5, based on the same Android version that the X7 HD has.

Design: the iOcean X7HD has dimensions of 141 mm high × 69 × 8.95 millimeters thick . Its casing is made of aluminum . The Xiaomi Red Rice meanwhile has dimensions of 125.3 mm high x 64.5 mm wide x 9.9 mm thick. Its back shell -made from recycled materials- is interchangeable, and we can find it in three colors: metallic gray, Chinese red and ivory white.

Connectivity : both terminals have basic connections that we are used to like the WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth or FM radio .

Internal memory : the two smartphones have a 4 GB ROM , also having the same capacity for expansion via microSD: 32 GB .

Battery : the iOcean company offers us the possibility of choosing between a 2000 mAh capacity battery and a 3000 mAh battery, while the Xiaomi only has a 2000 mAh battery.

Price and availability: the iOcean model can be ours from the website electronicabarata.es for 154.99 euros. Another option is to purchase it directly from China for a price equivalent to 96 euros, without of course counting customs costs. Otherwise it will take time to see it in Spain, since these days it is being launched on the market in your country. The Red Rice for its part can become ours for 199 euros and free, as offered on the website of pccomponentes. A very affordable price, especially taking into account the specifications offered by the terminal, typical of smartphones of higher ranges.
