Comparison: iphone 6 vs lg g3
Table of contents:
Continuing with our comparisons between different high-end smartphones, we face the current flagship of LG, the LG G3, between the iPhone 6 presented a few weeks ago. Both terminals have cutting-edge specifications for maximum performance so that every demanding user will be very satisfied with the purchase of either terminal.
Technical characteristics:
Designs: In the design of the terminals we already found a first very important difference and that is that Apple manufactures its iPhone 6 with an unibody aluminum chassis that provides an apparently higher quality finish although it has the drawback that it does not allow the battery to be removed. For its part, LG manufactures its LG G3 with a high quality plastic chassis that allows you to remove the back cover and remove its battery.
Continuing with the differences in terms of design we find that the LG G3 has a larger size (146.33 mm high x 74.6 mm wide x 8.9 mm thick) because its screen is considerably larger than that of the iPhone 6 (138.1 mm high x 67 mm wide x 6.9 mm thick), however, the space is better used in the LG terminal, presenting much smaller frames than those of the Apple smartphone.
Screens: focusing our attention on the screen we find that the LG G3 has a 5.5-inch True HD IPS LCD panel and an impressive Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels resulting in a density of 534 ppi. For its part, the iPhone 6 mounts a Retina panel with a 4.7-inch diagonal and its resolution stays at a much more discreet 1334 x 750 pixels resulting in a pixel density of 336 ppi. Finally we highlight that LG has equipped its terminal with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 while Apple has dispensed with it.
Cameras: In optics, the LG G3 seems to be one step ahead of its rival by mounting a main 13-megapixel sensor capable of recording video at 4K resolution and 30fps while the iPhone 6 is satisfied with an 8-megapixel sensor and capacity Recording at 1080p and 60fps, Both feature autofocus and LED flash. Regarding the front optics we see again an advantage of LG with a 2.1 megapixel sensor compared to 1.3 megapixels of the terminal of the merca of the apple.
Processors: As for the processor we find in the LG G3 a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 consisting of 4 32-bit Krait 400 cores at a frequency of 2.5 Ghz and the Adreno 330 GPU, it is manufactured in the 28nm TSMC process. For its part, the iPhone 6 has an Apple A8 processor consisting of two 64-bit Cyclone cores at a frequency of 1.4 Ghz and the PowerVR Series 6XT GX6450 GPU and the M8 coprocessor that is in charge of processing all the data collected by the sensors of the smartphone, is manufactured in the most modern process at 20nm of TSMC so it offers great energy efficiency.
The LG G3 comes with 2/3 GB of RAM to be able to move its Android 4.4.2 KitKat operating system customized by the manufacturer with total fluidity, while the iPhone 6 is satisfied with 1 GB of RAM but in exchange for its iOS operating system 8 is more streamlined and lighter.
Batteries : iPhone 6 offers a battery with a capacity of 1, 810 mAh that offers approximately a standby time of 250 hours. On the other hand, the LG G3 offers a 3000 mAh battery that offers approximately 553 hours of standby. Some data that shows a much greater autonomy in the LG G3 thanks to its 3000 mAh battery, despite having a screen with a much higher size and resolution.
Connectivity : both terminals have connections such as WiFi 802.11a / b / g / n / ac, 3G, 4G LTE, Bluetoothot 4.0 and NFC.
Both terminals can be obtained with a starting price of 380 euros for the LG G3 in its 16 GB model and 699 euros for the iPhone 6 in its 16 GB model.
