Comparison: jiayu g5 vs lg nexus 4
We continue to compare the Chinese smartphone Jiayu G5, a device with characteristics of the highest ranges but at a much more affordable price, as we will see later. Its rival on this occasion is the great known to all LG Nexus 4, another terminal with excellent features with a very good reception in the market. The team of professional Review brings you this new article with which it hopes to dispel any type of doubt that you may have regarding these smartphones. Attentive we start !:
Its screens do not present a big difference in terms of size: 4.5 inches for the Jiayu G5 and 4.7 inches True HD in the case of the Nexus 4, with resolutions of 1280 x 720 pixels (312 pp p) and 1280 x 768 pixels (320 dpi) respectively. Both are equipped with IPS technology, which gives them a wide viewing angle and very vivid colors and protection against bumps and scratches thanks to Corning Gorilla Glass 2 glass.
Processors: The Chinese model features a 1.5 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589T SoC and the Nexus CPU is a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon ™ Pro S4 CPU, which also runs at 1.5 GHz . Its GPUs are also different: IMGSGX544 if we talk about the Jiayu and Adreno 320 in the case of the Nexus 4. The RAM of the Basic G5 is 1 GB , but the Advanced model comes with 2 GB, putting itself at the same height as the model South Korean, which also contains 2 GB. In the same way they also share a version of the Android operating system: 4.2 Jelly Bean.
As for its cameras, the Jiayu G5 plays with an advantage thanks to its main lens manufactured by sony and which has 13 megapixels, in addition to having a gravity, proximity, light sensor (BSI technology), etc. The Nexus 4 has 8 megapixels on its main lens, with autofocus and an LED flash. The same thing happens with the front cameras: 3 megapixels accompany the Chinese model and 1.3 megapixels do the same with the LG, useful in both cases for video conferencing, among other functions. As for the video recording quality of the Nexus, we can say that they are made in Full HD 720p at 30 fps.
Its batteries are very similar: the Jiayu has 2000 mAh of capacity and the Nexus 4 with 2100 mAh. Its similar powers will mean that its autonomies are rather the same, although obviously the handling we give to the smartphone will also have its responsibility.
Designs: The G5 boasts dimensions of 130mm high x 63.5mm wide x 7.9mm thick, with a sturdy metal body that reminds us of the iPhone range. The Nexus 4 meanwhile has measures of 133.9 mm high × 68.7 mm wide × 9.1 mm thick and weighs 139 grams, with a housing made of mainly plastic.
Connectivity: the difference is mainly that the Nexus 4 offers 4G support, something that the Jiayu G5 does not, which has to "conform" to other more basic connections such as WiFi, Bluetooth, FM, GPS / A-GPS.
Regarding its internal memories, we can say that each model has two terminals with different ROMs in the market: in the case of the Chinese smartphone, we find a Basic model of 4 GB and the Advanced model with 32 GB , expandable up to 64 GB through microSD cards. The Nexus 4 has an 8 GB and a 16 GB model, without the possibility of expansion.
Finally, prices: the Chinese model can be found for 245 and 290 euros on its official website, in normal or Advanced models respectively, also available in black or white. That said, we can see that it is a device that presents a good quality / price ratio. The Nexus 4 is currently around 300 euros, varying according to where we acquired it, something that is not bad considering the specifications of this device.
