As we seek to achieve with these articles, we will expose the characteristics of both terminals on the mat to check which one of them fits our expectations the most and also analyze whether their value for money is justified. As for its cameras, the Jiayu S1 plays with an advantage thanks to its main lens manufactured by sony and which has 13 megapixels, compared to the 8 megapixels of the Nexus 4. Both terminals share functions such as autofocus and LED flash, among others. Both screens are equipped with IPS technology, which gives them a wide viewing angle and very vivid colors. We continue to compare their processors: the Jiayu S1 features a 1.7GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 SoC , while the Nexus 4 features a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon ™ Pro S4 CPU, running at 1.5GHz. However, the two terminals share GPU (Adreno 320) , RAM (2 GB) and the same version of the operating system: Android 4.2. Jelly Bean.

The Jiayu and Nexus batteries have a capacity of 2300 mAh and 2100 mAh respectively, which together with their powers will provide both terminals with a similar autonomy. However, we cannot ignore that the use that we give to the terminal (video playback, games, connectivity, etc.) will also have a direct influence.

Now your internal memories: these two terminals are completely different ROMs, since on the Jiayu S1 we have 32 GB expandable up to 64 GB through microSD cards, while if we refer to the Nexus 4 we find an 8 GB model and another of 16 GB, without the possibility of expansion.

Connectivity: both devices have very common connections such as 3G, WiFi or Bluetooth, although the S4 also offers 4G / LTE support, as is common among high-end smartphones.

Designs: The Chinese model has dimensions of 138 mm high x 69 mm wide x 9 mm thick and 145 grams of weight. It has a back shell made of steel that gives it great robustness. The Nexus is somewhat smaller due to its 133.9mm height × 68.7mm width × 9.1mm thickness and weight of 130 grams, featuring a casing with a durable plastic finish, known as polycarbonate.

Finally, prices: the Jiayu S1 is a relatively powerful terminal that comes out at a very good price: about 230 euros, which gives it a good quality / price ratio, a cost that is fairly accessible to any pocket. The Nexus 4 is currently around 300 euros (seen for 319 euros of 16 GB in black and 329 euros free in white, also 16 GB on the website of pccomponentes). It is a smartphone that has excellent characteristics but is unfortunately not within the reach of the public.
