After the article in which we were somehow pitting the Motorola Moto E against the Nokia X, the Nokia Lumia 520, another low cost terminal of the company, now lands on our website. The characteristics of these two terminals, together with their prices within the reach of the majority of the public, are not going unnoticed by the market, at least among users who do not expect great wonders from a Smartphone. Be very attentive, perhaps more than one will touch the heart of one of these terminals:

Technical characteristics:

Designs: Regarding size, the Lumia has dimensions of 119.9 mm high x 64 mm wide x 9.9 mm thick and weighs 124 grams, compared to 124.8 mm high x 64, 8mm wide x 12.3mm thick featuring the Moto E. The Motorola model has a rubberized plastic back shell, making it easy to grip. It is available in black and white . The Lumia's casing is also made of polycarbonate, being available in various colors: yellow, red, blue, black and white.

Screens: that of the Moto E has a size of 4.3 inches, slightly larger than that of the Lumia, which stays at 4 inches. They also differ in terms of resolution, being 960 x 540 pixels if we refer to the Motorola model and 800 x 480 pixels in the case of 520. Both smartphones are accompanied by IPS technology, which provides them with very vivid colors and a wide viewing angle. The Moto E also has protection against bumps and scratches from the glass manufactured by the company Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

Processors: A dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 CPU running at 1.2 GHz and Adreno 302 graphics chip accompany the Moto E, while a Qualcomm Snapdragon 1-core dual-core SoC and Adreno 305 GPU do the same with the Lumia . The Motorola duplicates the Nokia in RAM memory, being 1 GB and 512 MB respectively. They also have a different operating system: for the Moto E we have Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat and for the Lumia we have Windows Phone 8.

Cameras: their front lenses coincide in that they have 5 megapixels, both lacking an LED flash. Neither terminal has a front camera. Video recording is done in HD 720p quality in both cases.

Internal Memories: both terminals have a single model on the market: one of 4 GB in the case of the Moto E and one of 8 GB if we refer to the Nokia. Both have a micro SD card slot, in the case of the Lumia up to 64 GB in capacity, while the Moto E manages with cards up to 32 GB. The 520 also has 7GB more of free cloud storage.

Connectivity: they have basic connections such as WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth or FM radio, both lacking 4G / LTE technology.

Batteries: the 1430 mAh that the Lumia 520 presents are a bit far from the 1980 mAh that accompany the Moto E, which will have greater autonomy.

Availability and price:

The Motorola Moto E can be ours from the pccomponentes website for 119 euros. For its part, the Nokia Lumia 520 can be found on the website of pccomponentes with prices ranging from 95 to 105 euros free and depending on the color available.
