Table of contents:
Today we bring a comparison between the Motorola Moto E and a member of the Nokia family, the Nokia X. We are talking about two terminals designed for discreet pockets, Low Cost . They have very similar features, as we will gradually check, and they are quite basic compared to many smartphones on the market. Once each of its specifications has been exposed, it will be time to draw a conclusion on which of them is the best value for money. Let's start:
Technical characteristics:
Screens: the Moto E has a slightly larger size of 4.3 inches, compared to the exact 4 inches that the Nokia X presents. Nor do they coincide in resolution, being 960 x 540 pixels if we refer to the Motorola model and 800 x 480 pixels in the case of the Nokia. Both smartphones are accompanied by IPS technology, which provides them with very well defined colors and an almost complete viewing angle. The Moto E also has protection against bumps and scratches from the glass manufactured by the company Corning Gorilla Glass 3.
Processors: they share the same manufacturer, but in different models, thus being a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 CPU that runs at 1.2 GHz and Adreno 302 graphics chip that accompany the Moto E and a dual Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 8225 SoC 1 GHz core and Adreno 205 GPU who do the same with the Nokia model . The Motorola model duplicates the Nokia X in RAM memory, being 1 GB and 512 MB respectively. They have the same operating system but in different versions, therefore we can say that the Moto E has Android 4.4.2 Kit Kat and the Nokia X presents Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean.
Cameras: we are talking about two quite humble sensors, with 5 megapixels and no LED flash in the case of the Moto E and 3 megapixels but with an LED flash in the case of the Nokia X. Neither terminal has a front camera. The video recording is done in HD 720p quality if we refer to the Moto E and with a resolution of 864 x 480 pixels in the case of the Nokia X.
Connectivity: LTE / 4G technology does not appear in any case, so we must settle for the most typical and basic connections such as WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth, FM radio, etc.
Designs: The Moto E has dimensions of 124.8 mm high x 64.8 mm wide x 12.3 mm thick, compared to 115.5 mm high × 63 mm wide × 10.4 mm thick and 128 grams of Nokia X. The Moto E has a rubberized plastic back shell, making it easy to grip. It is available in black and white . The Nokia X is also made of polycarbonate, a type of plastic that gives it a certain robustness. Available in a wide variety of colors: black, white, green, blue, yellow and red.
Batteries: that of the Moto E reaches 1980 mAh of capacity, turning out to be superior to that of the Nokia, of 1500 mAh, and therefore of less autonomy.
Internal Memories: both terminals have a single model on the market of 4 GB. To this we must add that both have a micro SD card slot, in the case of the Moto E up to 32 GB, while the Nokia X manages with a 4 GB card included in the sales pack.
