Anonim

Today we are going to compare Google's Motorola Moto G and Apple's iPhone 4. The first integrates the Android operating system, in its 4.3 Jelly Bean version, -although its update to 4.4 KitKat is expected in January of next year-, while the latter uses IOS4 with multitasking. The two terminals can be included in the mid-range and have excellent value for money.

Let's start by evaluating the screen of both Smartphones. The Motorola Moto G has a remarkable 4.5 inches, with a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels, which gives it a density of 441ppi. For its part, the iPhone 4 has a 3.5-inch screen and has a resolution of 960 x 640 pixels.

Now let's talk about its processors: while the Moto G has a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 soc, the iPhone 4 has an A4 1GHz CPU that Apple has already integrated into the iPad and is comparable to that of the device. Google. The RAM memory also varies from one model to another: the iPhone has 512 MB of RAM and the Moto G with 1 GB of memory.

Regarding connectivity, we can say that neither of the two devices we are comparing offers LTE support, although other more common connections such as 3G, WiFi or Bluetooth do.

As for the quality of the camera: both terminals are very similar, since both have a 5 MP rear lens. These Smartphones also share different capture modes or the LED Flash. The Apple model also has a front camera, while the Moto G has a 1.3 megapixel camera, ideal for video calls or self-portraits that serve as a profile photo on social networks. Both Smartphones are capable of recording Full HD 720p video at 30 fps.

In the internal memory you can also see the difference between these two phones. Although both companies offer a 16 GB model of each terminal, the iPhone 4 with the largest existing capacity is 32 GB, while the smallest Motorola model in this regard presents 8 GB. Both lack a microSD card slot.

We can not forget to compare the size and weight: the Moto G has dimensions of 129.9 mm high × 65.9 mm wide × 11.6 mm thick and weighs 143 grams. On the other hand, the Iphone 4 has 115.5 mm high x 62.1 mm wide x 9.3 mm thick and weighs 137 grams. We see how the height, width and thickness is greater in the first Smartphone, something that also happens with its weight, but very slightly. On the other hand, while the Moto G is protected thanks to its “Grip Shell” or “Flip Shell” casings, which completely enclose the device, in addition to its Corning Gorilla Glass 3 company glass, the iPhone 4 defends itself from the blows thanks to its side housings and its back, which are made of aluminum and stainless steel. The entire front of the phone is covered by tempered glass.

As for the battery, we also find a quite significant difference: while the Moto G has a 2070 mAh battery capacity, the iPhone 4 has a considerably lower autonomy, 1420 mAh. Although finally the duration of the active terminal depends on the use that is given, the difference between the two batteries is more than evident.

Let us now dedicate ourselves to talking about its price: The Motorola Moto G is an affordable terminal for practically all users who are looking for an inexpensive mid-range device with good features. With its scarce 200 euros as the official starting price, we can pay it little by little through monthly installments to negotiate with our teleoperator, or on the contrary we can acquire it through a single payment of 175 euros on Amazon, where they offer it to us in presale and free. The iPhone 4 is a much more expensive terminal: currently it can be found new for an amount of around 400 euros (389 euros in The Phone House for example) although far from its official starting price at its launch of 799 euros free. However, all this may vary depending on the promotion or rate offered by our operator.
