Comparison: motorola moto g vs iphone 5s
We continue to face the Motorola Moto G with other devices on the market. This time it is the turn of Apple's flagship, the iPhone 5s. Next we will measure this high-end against the mid-range of Motorola, and we will check if the great difference in price is adjustable to its benefits. The professional Review team has analyzed them and here is a sample of it to your delight:
We will start by evaluating its screens: the Motorola Moto G has a striking 4.5 inches, in addition to a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels with a density of 441ppi. The iPhone 5s features 4 inches with a resolution of 1136 x 640 pixels and a density of 326 ppi. It highlights its innovative Touch ID sensor application that is used as a fingerprint reader.
Now we are going to talk about its processors: the iPhone 5s debuts with the new 64-bit A7 Chip, which makes it the first terminal in the world with this feature and will allow us to enjoy a truly spectacular data processing speed. It also features an M7 coprocessor, which collects data from the accelerometer, gyroscope, and compass, while also freeing up the A7 chip and improving its energy efficiency. For its part, the Moto G It has a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC and Adreno 305 graphics chip. Both phones have 1 GB of RAM. As for the operating system we can say that the Motorola phone presents Android Jelly Bean 4.3 upgradeable from next year and the model of the company of the apple is covered by IOS 7, according to what they tell us, the most advanced operating system in the world.
Internal memory: in the case of the iPhone 5s, its internal capacity is measured by available models (16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB), three in total, as we can see. The Moto G for its part also has a 16 GB model and a smaller one, only 8 GB. Both models lack a microSD card slot.
The connectivity stands out above all in the case of the iPhone, since it presents the demanded 4G / LTE technology, something that does not happen with the Motorola model, which remains in the connections to which we are both already accustomed such as 3G, 2G, WiFi or GPS.
Design: The iPhone 5s features dimensions of 123.8mm high x 58.6mm wide and 7.6mm thick. Its weight is 112 grams. The Moto G however is 129.9mm high x 65.9mm wide x 11.6mm thick and weighs 143 grams. As we can see, the Motorola model is much more voluminous, something that is noticeable in its mass.
As for the case, the iPhone 5s model does not present any novelty with respect to its predecessor, as it still retains the aluminum finish, although its availability in three colors stands out: Space gray, gold / gold and black. Its screen defends itself from bumps and scratches thanks to its oleophobic tempered glass screen. On the other hand, the Moto G has two types of complementary housings, such as the " Grip Shell " and the " Flip Shell "; The latter encloses the device completely, with an opening for the front where the screen is located to be able to use it without major problems. It has Gorilla Glass 3 protection.
Batteries: there is a difference to consider between them: the Moto G has a capacity of 2, 070 mAh, while the iPhone 5s features 1, 560 mAh, something that will be noticed, even more so in the case of a more powerful model.
Now we have to talk about its cameras: the iPhone 5s has an 8-megapixel rear iSight sensor, a wide angle and an f / 2.2 aperture. The Moto G for its part has a 5-megapixel rear lens. Both have some types of shots in common, although in the case of the iPhone we must highlight some improvements, such as the new True Tone flash (something like a dual LED flash), capable of adjusting the intensity and color or the possibility of making videos in slow motion at 120 fps. Regarding the front lens, the difference is minimal: while the Moto G has 1.3 MP, the iPhone 5s has 1.2 megapixels, useful for making video calls or self-portraits and capable of recording video in HD 720p.
We finish by comparing its prices: the Motorola Moto G can be found for less than 200 euros (seen on Amazon for 175), being very affordable for all those who want a phone with good features but without great luxuries. The iPhone 5s, as expected, is much more expensive: 679 euros for the 16 GB and free model is available on the pccomponentes website. If we do not want a single payment (something logical talking about astronomical amounts for a smartphone and more in these times) we can negotiate some type of contract with our operator.
