Comparison: motorola moto g vs jiayu g5
We continue to compare the Moto G with other smartphones on the market, this time with the Chinese model Jiayu G5. The good features and the fairly affordable price of both make them devices to take into account when purchasing a new one, as long as we settle for a mid-range. Next we will proceed to detail each of its characteristics:
Let's start by talking about their designs: the Moto G has dimensions of 129.9 mm high × 65.9 mm wide × 11.6 mm thick and weighs 143 grams. For its part, the Jiayu G5 has a size of 130 mm high x 63.5 mm wide x 7.9 mm thick and weighs 158 grams. As we can see, both devices have a very similar size, being their difference in thickness mainly. The Chinese model has a sturdy metal back shell, which gives it an elegance typical of Western models and Gorilla Glass, while the Moto G has two types of shell for protection: the " Grip Shell " that surrounds the terminal and the " Flip Shell ", which encloses the device completely, presenting an opening on its front to enjoy the good use of its screen. The Moto G also features Gorilla Glass 3 glass, manufactured by the Corning company.
Screens: Both smartphones have a 4.5-inch IPS screen size and an HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, so we could say that it does not stand out over the other.
Let's mention their internal memories: both terminals have two different memory models for sale: in the case of the Jiayu G5, a 4 GB model is marketed and another known as Advanced with 32 GB. The Motorola for its part has an 8 GB model and another one with 16 GB of ROM. In the case of the Jiayu G5, the memory is expandable through a microSD card.
Next we will talk about its processors: the Moto G has a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC and Adreno 305 graphics chip, while the Jiayu G5 features a SoC MediaTek MT6589T quad-core 1.5 GHz. The RAM that accompanies the Moto G is 1 GB, while that of the Jiayu G5 is 1 GB in its simplest version, and 2 GB in the Advanced model. Its operating system is version 4.3 Jelly Bean for the Motorola model and Android version 4.2 for the Chinese model.
As for their connectivity, there is nothing to highlight, since both smartphones only have very common connections such as 3G, Bluetooth or WiFi.
The batteries have a practically zero difference in capacity, since the Moto G features 2070 mAh and the Jiayu G5 2000 mAh. In the same way and as we already know, the autonomy will vary depending on the power that the terminal requires to function normally and the use that we give it (games, video, connectivity, etc).
Let's differentiate its cameras: the Motorola Moto G has a 5 MP sensor in its main lens, while the Jiayu G5 is made up of 13 MP. What they do have in common is the autofocus function and an LED flash. The front lens present in the Jiayu is 3 MP, while the Moto G remains at 1.3 megapixels, useful in any case to make selfies or video calls.
Let's finish by comparing prices: the Motorola Moto G is a balanced phone in terms of quality-price, which is around 200 euros and we can choose whether to pay it in cash (on Amazon free and pre-sale for 175 euros) or through quotas to negotiate with our operator. The Jiayu G5 is a much more expensive terminal: we are talking about 244 euros in black and free if it is the normal version, and the Advanced model in the same conditions comes out for 289 euros. Both types for sale in pc components.
