Anonim

The Samsung Galaxy S3 and Motorola Moto G smartphones are two terminals that are covered by the Google operating system: Android. In the case of the Samsung Galaxy S3 it is of the 4.2.2 Jelly Bean type , while the Motorola Moto G presents the 4.3 Jelly Bean version, although its update to 4.4 KitKat is expected in January of next year. These are two mid-range terminals with good features and a good price if we relate them to their capabilities.

Let's start by describing its dimensions and weight: the Samsung model has measurements of 136.6 mm high × 70.6 mm wide × 8.6 mm thick and weighs 133 grams. On the other hand, the Motorola Moto G has dimensions of 129.9 mm high x 65.9 mm wide x 11.6 mm thick and weighs 143 grams. We see how despite the size of the Samsung, larger than the Motorola, its weight is somewhat lower, and the difference between the thickness of the terminals is quite significant.

Let's talk about its screens now: the Samsung Galaxy S3 has an appreciable 4.8 inches super AMOLED HD. For its part, the Motorola Moto G presents a remarkable 4.5-inch screen. Both devices have a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. While the Samsung Galaxy S3 has protection from Corning glass and Gorilla Glass 3 anti-scratch, the Moto G defends itself against shocks thanks to its "Grip Shell" or "Flip Shell" casings, which completely enclose the device.

Let's now analyze the processor of each smartphone: while the Galaxy S3 has an Exynos 4 Quad with 4 cores at 1.4 Ghz, the Motorola Moto G has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU, also with 4 cores but at 1.2 GHz. Both Smartphones They are accompanied by 1 GB of RAM but also different graphics chips: Mali 400MP for the Samsung and Adreno 305 in the case of the Moto G.

In the internal memory you can also see the difference between these two phones. Although both devices coincide in the possession of a 16 GB model in the market, the Samsung Galaxy S3 with the largest existing capacity is 32 GB, while the Motorola model has another terminal with a smaller capacity, 8 GB. The Galaxy S3 for its part also has a slot for microSD cards up to 64 GB, something that does not happen with the Moto G.

From the connectivity it is only worth noting that the Moto G model and the Samsung Galaxy do not offer LTE support, at least in Europe.

Next we proceed to compare its cameras: the Samsung Galaxy S3 is victorious with its 8 MP rear camera and a resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels, while the Motorola Moto G has 5 megapixels in its rear lens. Both also have a front camera: 1.3 megapixels in the case of the Moto G and 1.9 MP for the Galaxy model. They share capture modes, as well as the autofocus or the Flash LED, although in the case of the Motorola model, it does not stand out especially. Both models are capable of recording Full HD 720p video at 30 fps.

The autonomy of the battery is of a similar capacity in the two terminals. While the Samsung Galaxy 3 has a 2100 mAh battery capacity, the Moto G has practically the same autonomy, although below 2070 mAh. This difference is practically nil, so performance will vary depending on how the device is used.

As for the price, the S3 is currently around 300/310 euros, something that is not bad for the quality of this upper-middle range, but that not everyone can afford. The Moto G for its part is an affordable terminal for practically all budgets, with its scarce 200 euros as the official starting price, which we can pay in more or less installments depending on the offer that we accept with our operator.

WE RECOMMEND YOU iPhone sales in China fall at a rapid rate

However, we can still find it cheaper on online sales pages such as the famous company Amazon, where they offer it to us in presale and free for 175 euros. We can conclude by saying that these are two terminals with acceptable benefits, although the Moto G starts with the advantage of being cheaper.
