Comparison: motorola moto g vs sony xperia z1
Now it's up to the Sony Xperia Z1 to join the list of "rivals" of the well-known in these parts Motorola Moto G. Let's see if it is up to the circumstances and we think it is a better or purchase option with respect to said terminal. Next we will check little by little what its quality is and in the end compare it with its price. Pay close attention to its characteristics:
Let's first detail its screens: the Moto G has 4.5 inches and a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels with a density of 329 ppi; The Sony Xperia Z1 features a 5-inch Full HD screen and a higher resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, giving a density of 443 pixels per inch. For its part, HTC One presents a 4.7-inch capacitive Super LCD3 screen and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The Moto G's anti-scratch protection is made by the Corning company: Gorilla Glass 3, while the Sony features an anti-splinter and resistant shockproof sheet.
Processors from the same manufacturer but with different power: the Moto G has a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC and Adreno 305 graphics chip, while the Sony Xperia Z1 presents 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 and the Adreno 330. In RAM memory the Xperia model also wins, with its 2 GB versus 1 GB of the Moto G. As an operating system we have Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for Motorola and 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for Sony, both upgradeable soon.
Cameras: the Motorola Moto G presents a 5 MP sensor as its rear lens, while the Sony Xperia Z1 is made up of a self-made sensor - Sony Exmor - 20.7 MP, 27 mm wide-angle and f / 2.0 aperture., all this in addition to a digital zoom x3 without loss of quality and great stabilization, so we could say that it is an excellent camera to treat a smartphone. Video recording is done at 1080p HD and 30fps, while the Moto G does it at 720p and 30fps. The front lens present on the Sony Xperia is 2 MP with full HD capabilities. The Moto G stays at 1.3 megapixels, equally useful for video conferences or self-portraits for profiles on social networks for example.
Now we will talk about their designs: the Moto G has dimensions of 129.9 mm high × 65.9 mm wide × 11.6 mm thick and weighs 143 grams, while the Xperia Z1 has a size of 144 mm high x 74 mm wide x 8.5 mm thick and weighing 170 grams. Clearly we can appreciate the bulky Xperia that gives it considerable weight. This model also has an aluminum frame made of a single piece, improving signal reception, ensuring resistance to moderate shocks and, as a novelty in the world of smartphones (although it is not the first of its model), also water resistance and to dust. The Moto G instead has two types of casing in the event of an accident: the " Grip Shell " that surrounds the terminal and the " Flip Shell ", which completely encloses the device, although it has a front opening for easy screen handling.
Let's continue with its internal memories: in the case of the Sony Xperia Z1, there is only one 16 GB model, yes, expandable through microSD cards. The Moto G does not present this feature, with two models on the market, one 8 GB and the other 16 GB. In our opinion a lack of significant ROM.
Its connectivity is very basic, at least on the Motorola device , which has WiFi, 3G or Bluetooth, although we must emphasize that in the case of the Xperia Z1, in addition to these connections, it offers LTE / 4G support.
WE RECOMMEND YOUSony will stop selling phones in Latin AmericaThere is also a very significant difference between its batteries: the Moto G has a capacity of 2, 070 mAh and the Xperia Z1 has 3, 000 mAh. This capacity comes in handy to the Sony model, since it is a powerful terminal that could not offer us less. Anyway and as we always say, the key to autonomy lies in the activity that the phone has.
Finally, its prices: the Motorola Moto G is a bargain terminal for the benefits it offers us, that is, it has a very good quality / price of 175 euros on Amazon. The Sony Xperia Z1 is a more powerful device and the good quality has to be paid for: if we go into pc components and look for it, for about 545 euros nothing (note the irony) it can be ours, free, in black or purple.
