After "facing" our Nokia X with the Nokia Lumia 520, today it is the turn of the Lumia 620 to get into our private ring. As we saw with his brother, we are faced with another Low Cost model from Nokia that has very competitive characteristics in relation to the price it has. For its part, the Nokia X is a smartphone from the same company with very discreet features, as we will see throughout the article, which has some limitations with respect to the Lumia, although it also surpasses it in some respect. At the end of the comparison we will check which of these two devices best suits our needs and if the proportion of their specifications and amounts is fair. We begin:
Screens: The Nokia Lumia 620 has a 3.8-inch ClearBlack (perfectly readable in sunlight) screen. For its part, the Nokia X presents a 4-inch screen with IPS technology, which provides them with very well defined colors and an almost complete viewing angle. Both terminals have a WVGA resolution of 800 x 480 pixels.
Processors: The Lumia 620 features a 1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 SoC and Adreno 305 GPU. The Nokia X for its part has a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 8225 dual-core 1 GHz CPU and Adreno 205 graphic chip. Both share 512 MB of RAM and differ in their operating system: Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean in the case of the Nokia X and Windows Phone 8 if we refer to the Lumia.
Design: Regarding size, the Lumia has dimensions of 115.4 mm high x 61.1 mm wide x 11 mm thick, compared to 115.5 mm high × 63 mm wide × 10.4 mm thick and 128 grams of Nokia X. Both terminals have a housing made of polycarbonate, a type of plastic that gives them a certain robustness. The Lumia 620 is available in several colors: orange, black, white, yellow, green, pink and blue, while the Nokia X has a few more colors: bright green, blue, black, yellow, bright red and white.
Its batteries are very similar in terms of capacity, being 1500 mAh in the case of the Nokia X and 1300 mAh in the case of the Lumia 620. Taking into account the rest of its characteristics, its autonomies will be very similar, if not the same.
Internal Memory: the two terminals have a single model on the market: one of 4 GB in the case of the Nokia X and one of 8 GB if we refer to the Lumia. Both have a micro SD card slot, in the case of the Lumia up to 64 GB of capacity, while the Nokia X manages with a 4 GB card included in the sales pack. The 620 also has 7GB more of free cloud storage.
Camera: we are talking about two models that have a very discreet main objective, being 5 megapixels in the case of the Lumia 620, with f / 2.4 aperture and LED flash, and 3 megapixels in the case of the Nokia X, in which it does not flash is present. The Lumia's front camera has a VGA resolution (0.3 MP), while the Nokia X lacks this feature. Video recording is done at HD 720p at 30 fps in the case of the Lumia 620 and in 864 x 480 pixel resolution if we are referring to the Nokia X.
Connectivity: they have basic connections such as WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth or FM radio , both lacking 4G / LTE technology .
Availability and price: Regarding the Nokia Lumia 620, we can say that it is available on the pccomponentes website free and in white for 146 euros. The new Nokia X can be ours for 124 euros if we buy it from the pccomponentes website. We are talking about a very humble terminal in terms of its specifications, with a very competitive price and intended for users who do not seek to make very sophisticated use of their Smartphone.
