Comparison: oneplus x vs xiaomi mi4c
Table of contents:
Design
If we focus our gaze on design we see that there is a great difference between both terminals, simply the One Plus X is presented with its own design of an authentic top of the range that has nothing to envy to smartphones that cost 700 euros
In the case of One Plus X a metallic structure is observed for a high quality finish and a more premium appearance , it also includes a finish in Ceramic zirconite for greater scratch resistance. For its part, the Xiaomi Mi4C is presented with a much more modest finish based on a good quality polycarbonate body, in this sense it is very reminiscent of Microsoft's Lumia.
The One Plus X is presented with dimensions of 140 x 69 x 6.9 mm and a weight of 160 grams. For its part, the Xiaomi Mi4C is shown with measures of 138.1 x 69.6 x 7.8 mm and a lighter weight of 132 grams.
The One Plus X is presented with a design far superior to that of the Xiaomi Mi4C, aluminum and ceramic zirconite vs polycarbonate.
screen
As for the screen, we are in front of two solutions equal in size and screen resolution, both the Xiaomi Mi4C and the One Plus X have a diagonal of 5 inches with a resolution of Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixels, which translates into a 441 ppi pixel density.
Beyond this, if we find significant differences, it is that the Xiaomi Mi4C has IPS technology and the One Plus X with AMOLED technology , in both cases to ensure high image quality and excellent viewing angles. We note that AMOLED technology is more energy efficient and offers more saturated colors and warmer tones than IPS displays.
Both have Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protective glass to keep the screen looking new for a long time.
Two identical screens in size and resolution although Xiaomi bets on LCD IPS and OnePlus for AMOLED.
Optics
We get to the optician and we see the same specifications on the main camera in the two smartphones, so the software will be in charge of making the differences in this regard. Both the Xiaomi Mi4C and the One Plus X 2015 mount a main camera based on a sensor 13 megapixel camera assisted by a dual LED flash, autofocus and face detection. With this sensor they are capable of recording video at a resolution of 1080p and a speed of 30 fps. The Xiaomi Mi4C mounts a Sony IMX258 sensor while the One Plus X mounts a Samsung ISOCELL sensor.
If we look at the front camera we see that the One Plus X has an advantage with an 8 megapixel sensor while the Xiaomi Mi4C is satisfied with 5 megapixels. In both cases they are capable of recording 1080p video.
Processor
We get to the heart that will mark the performance of both smartphones and as we are going to check the Xiaomi Mi4C mounts a more modern and powerful chip. If the design was the One Plus X, the winner here is the Xiaomi Mi4C that takes the cat into the water.
In the Xiaomi Mi4C we find a powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 processor manufactured in 20nm and consisting of four Cortex A 53 cores at 1.44 GHz and two other Cortex A57 at 1.82 GHz. The set is completed with a very powerful Adreno 418 GPU that will allow us to enjoy all the games available without any problem . In short, a processor with a very remarkable power that will not wrinkle before any application.
For its part, the One Plus X is located a small step below the Xiaomi Mi4C in power with a more modest Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor manufactured at 28nm and formed by four Krait 400 cores at 2.3 GHz. As for the graphics, it has the powerful Adreno 330 GPU that offers very high power. An older chip but that was once a true top of the range and that is still capable of offering a user experience that has nothing to envy its older brothers.
The Xiaomi Mi4C is a step above power although the One Plus X will not fall short of anything.
RAM and storage
The One Plus X is presented with 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage expandable up to an additional 128 GB although for this we will have to sacrifice the second slot for the SIM card.
The Xiaomi Mi4C is presented in two different versions, one of them has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage while the other version has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. In both cases we will not be able to expand the storage of the Xiaomi Mi4C.
WE RECOMMEND YOU Xiaomi Mi4C ReviewOS
We arrived at the operating system and we found some differences regarding the degree of customization of the operating system and its version in the case of Android Lollipop in both terminals.
In the case of the One Plus X, it has the OxygenOS customization based on Android 5.1. A ROM very similar aesthetically to "pure" Android and that is proving to have a very smooth operation.
For its part, the Xiaomi Mi4C has the well-known MIUI 7 operating system based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, a customization layer well known for having excellent optimization and enviable operation, as well as including various extras such as root and applications for security and smartphone maintenance.
OxygenOS and MIUI 7 are two very different Android Lollipop-based operating systems.
Battery
The One Plus X offers a considerably smaller battery of 2, 525 mAh while the Xiaomi Mi4C offers a battery with a capacity of 3, 080 mAh. In both cases the battery is not removable. An advantage in this aspect for the Xiaomi to have a greater capacity although the optimization of the software and the consumption of the processor are not less important.
Both terminals demonstrate a good level and present various connectivity options such as WiFi 802.11b / g / n, 3G, 4G LTE, Bluetootht, OTG, A-GPS, GLONASS. No surprise in this aspect in which we find everything that a smartphone of these characteristics can offer today. As usual in Asian smartphones, they do NOT have NFC.
A point where the Xiaomi Mi4C may have some advantage by having a USB 3.1 Type-C port and an infrared port. By cons One Plus X has FM Radio and Xiaomi does not.
The Xiaomi Mi4C has an infrared port and the advanced USB 3.1 Type-C, the One Plus X features FM Radio.
Availability and price:
The One Plus X is now available to book in the main Chinese online stores for an approximate price of 300 euros. For its part, the Xiaomi Mi4C can be found in the same stores for prices of approximately 200/230 euros depending on the version. A considerably lower price in the case of the Xiaomi Mi4C although it is understood that its cost is lower due to the difference in the design of both terminals.
