The walk of the new Samsung Galaxy S5 on our website continues, this time being compared to the Moto X. We have no particular reason why we should opt for this terminal and not another, it simply is or has been a "fashionable" smartphone in the market and we think it is not wrong to give it another review. In Professional Review we say goodbye with affection to a terminal that for sure, and thanks to its great specifications, has guaranteed success. We start:

Screens: The Moto X has 4.7 inches with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels that gives it a density of 312 pixels per inch. Its AMOLED technology allows it to have more brightness, reflect less sunlight and consume less energy. The one of the Galaxy has a little more than 5.1 inches that also has AMOLED technology and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels with a density of 432 pixels per inch. Both use accident protection thanks to the Corning Gorilla Glass in the case of the Moto X and Gorilla Glass 3 in the case of the Samsung.

Processors: The Moto X features a 1.7GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon Kait 300 SoC and Adreno 320 GPU. The RAM is 2 GB. Its operating system is Android 4.2.2. The Galaxy S5 for its part has a Quad-core CPU at 2.5 GHz and Adreno 330 graphics chip. It has the same RAM (2 GB) and Android as version 4.4.2 Kit Kat operating system .

Design: Regarding size, the Moto X is a smaller but thicker smartphone, since it has dimensions of 129.3 mm high x 65.3 mm wide x 10.4 mm thick, compared to 142 mm high × 72.5 mm width × 8.1 mm thickness and 145 grams of the S5. Thanks to the use of a website called Moto Maker we can customize the colors of the case of our Motorola before we get hold of it. We can choose between multiple types of casing, including a wooden one in four options: teak, bamboo, ebony and rosewood, and some 18 different colors, the front being white or black. As for the Samsung we can say that its back has a texture of small perforations that give it originality and most importantly, comfort in the grip. We can find it available in four attractive colors: the classic black and white, in addition to gold or blue. It features a new, clearer and more intuitive interface, with more visual and easy-to-navigate icons. The Samsung Galaxy S5 also has the IP67 certificate, which means that it is a smartphone resistant to water and dust. The fingerprint scanner gives you great security.

Batteries: their capacities are rather different, counting the Moto X with 2200 mAh and the Galaxy with 2800 mAh of capacity. As we can see, both smartphones are accompanied by batteries that will have a not insignificant autonomy, although it will also depend on the type of use that we give to the terminal (games, videos, etc.).

Internal Memory: both smartphones have two models for sale, one 16 GB and the other 32 GB. The Samsung model has the possibility of expanding its memory through a micro SD card up to 128 GB, something that does not happen with the Moto X, which does not have a card slot but has free storage of 50 GB on Google Drive.

Camera: the main objective of the Moto X presents 10 megapixels with a focal aperture of f / 2.4 which, together with the clear pixel sensor, makes the camera receive 75% more light, something to keep in mind when taking photos in a poor lighting. It also has other functions such as autofocus, LED flash, geo-tagging, quick capture, panorama mode, face and smile detection. Its front camera is 2 megapixels. Video recording is done in Full HD 1080p at 30 fps. The Galaxy S5 for its part presents 16 megapixels, in addition to functions such as Selective Focus (clearly capturing what you want, giving depth and professionalism to your snapshots), higher speed between shots and shots, and a very precise light sensor. Its front camera has 2 megapixels, Useful in any case to make videoconferences or some photography. As for the video recordings, we can say that it is done in UHD 4K @ 30 fps quality.

WE RECOMMEND YOU The release date of the Galaxy Note 9 has been revealed

Connectivity: 4G / LTE support makes an appearance on both terminals (although in the case of Samsung according to market). They also have more basic connections such as WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth or FM radio.

Availability and price: this terminal can be ours from the Amazon website, at various prices ranging from 330 - 385 euros depending on model or offers. The S5 for its part can be found on the website of pccomponentes for 665 - 679 euros depending on the color and version of 16 GB.
