Comparison: xiaomi red rice 1s vs motorola moto g
Table of contents:
It is the turn of our long-awaited Motorola Moto G to "appear" in our "ring", "court" or whatever you want to call it… private. One of the greats of Motorola returns to measure his forces against a Chinese Smartphone, this time we talk about the Xiaomi Red Rice 1S. As we will see throughout the comparison, these two devices have many very similar or even the same features, one being practically the “living image” of the other, so it could be difficult to lean towards one or the other in particular. Perhaps after knowing each of its costs you decide to tip the balance in favor of one or the other, but that will be in the end, as always. We start:
Technical characteristics:
Designs: the Xiaomi is larger, with dimensions of 137 mm high x 69 mm wide x 9.9 mm thick. The Moto G has dimensions of 129.9 mm high x 65.9 mm wide x 11.6 mm thick and weighs 143 grams. The Motorola model has two protective housings: one called the "Grip Shell " with small "stops" that facilitate placing the smartphone face down avoiding scratches, and another casing known as the " Flip Shell " that allows the device to be closed completely, with An opening on the part of the screen to be able to use it without any problem. The Red Rice Xiaomi has a simple and elegant finish, being marketed in gray, along with a protective silicone case.
Screens: The 4.5 inches of the Moto G are a bit short next to the 4.7 inches that the Xiaomi screen presents. They do share the same resolution, being 1280 x 720 pixels. The Chinese Smartphone also features IPS technology, which gives it an almost complete viewing angle and highly defined colors. The Red Rice screen is protected against scratches thanks to the glass manufactured by the company Corning Gorilla Glass 2.
Cameras: the rear lens of the Xiaomi has 8 megapixels, some more than that of the Moto G, which remains at 5 megapixels, both with LED flash. They do coincide in the resolution of their front lenses, with 1.3 megapixels in both cases, useful for making self-photos and video calls. The two phones make video recordings, in Full HD 1080p quality at 30 fps in the case of Red Rice 1S and in HD 720p quality if we refer to the Moto G.
Processors: They are practically identical, with the difference that the Xiaomi SoC is a little more powerful than the Moto G, so we are talking about a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core CPU that runs at 1.2 GHz and another Qualcomm CPU Quad-core Snapdragon 400 but running at 1.6 GHz, respectively. They also coincide in graphic chip (Adreno 305) and in RAM memory (1 GB). The MIU V5 operating system (based on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean) accompanies the Chinese terminal, while the Motorola model is supported by Android in version 4.3 Jelly Bean.
Connectivity: the two Smartphones have basic connections such as 3G , WiFi or Bluetooth , without the 4G / LTE technology making an appearance.
Internal Memories: the two phones have in common the fact of having for sale a model that has 8 GB of ROM, although in the case of Motorola there is another 16 GB. The Red Rice features a microSD card slot up to 32GB, while the Moto G, which lacks this feature, packs a free 50GB storage on Google Drive.
WE RECOMMEND YOU Phone S2 Plus with Android 5.1Batteries: in this aspect they are also practically identical, with the Xiaomi having a battery of 2000 mAh of capacity and 2070 mAh in the case of the Moto G, not removable. This feature, together with the rest of its specifications, will give them a very similar autonomy.
Availability and price:
Currently we can find it for sale on the famous Amazon website at a price of around 125 euros. The Moto G for its part can be ours from the website of pccomponentes for 155 - 197 euros depending on its memory.
