Comparison: xiaomi red rice 1s vs samsung galaxy s4
Table of contents:
After the passage of the Galaxy S3 by Professional Review, which measured its forces yesterday against the Xiaomi Red Rice 1S, now it is the turn of the Samsung Galaxy S4. Although both smartphones have very attractive characteristics, just as no two people are the same, no two terminals either (or at least it is not that easy, hehehe), so the Galaxy in most cases, but in all, will be superior … Although we are not here for that. Rather the objective of this type of articles as you will already know is the fact of being able to reach a conclusion on which of the two devices presents a better relationship between the quality of their services and their costs in the market. With that said, we start:
Technical characteristics:
Designs: Samsung model measures 136.6mm high × 69.8mm wide × 7.9mm thick and a weight of 145 grams, so it is minimally smaller than the Xiaomi, which has a size of 137 mm high x 69 mm wide x 9.9 mm thick. Both phones have a resistant plastic finish that gives them a certain robustness, available in blue, white and black if we refer to the Galaxy, to which we will soon have to add aurora red, arctic blue, twilight pink, mirage purple and autumn brown. The Red Rice for its part is sold only in gray.
Screens: The 4.7 inches of the Xiaomi do not have much to envy the 4.99 inches that the Galaxy S4 contains. Nor do they coincide in resolution, being 1920 x 1080 pixels in the case of the Samsung and 1280 x 720 pixels if we refer to the Xiaomi. The Chinese terminal also has IPS technology, which gives it a wide viewing angle and high quality colors. The Samsung features super AMOLED technology , which allows good visibility even in sunlight. The screens of both smartphones have protection against bumps and scratches thanks to the Corning Gorilla Glass type 2 company in the case of the Xiaomi and type 3 if we refer to the Galaxy.
Processors: They coincide in the manufacturer but not in the model, so the Xiaomi is backed by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 SoC that runs at 1.6 GHz, while the Galaxy S4 features a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU and It operates at 1.9 GHz. They also coincide in presenting an Adreno graphics chip, model 305 for Red Rice and model 320 in the case of Samsung. They differ in RAM memory, being 1 GB and 2 GB respectively. The MIUI V5 operating system (based on 4.3) makes an appearance on the Red Rice, while Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean does the same with the S4.
Cameras: The main objective of the Samsung is 13 megapixels and LED flash, being superior to that of the Xiaomi and its 8 megapixels, also with LED flash and focal aperture f / 2.2. They are not the same in terms of their front cameras, containing 1.3 megapixels in the case of the Xiaomi and 2 megapixels in the case of the Galaxy, useful in any case for making self-photos and video calls. Video recording is done at 1080p HD and 30 fps in both cases.
Internal memories: while the Chinese Smartphone has a single model on the market with 8 GB of ROM, the Galaxy S4 presents a whopping 3 different models: one of 16 GB, another of 32 GB and another of 64 GB. These capacities can be expanded up to 32 GB if we refer to the Red Rice and up to 64 GB if we talk about the Samsung model thanks to its microSD card slots.
Batteries: the 2, 600 mAh of capacity presented by the Galaxy are significantly higher than that of the Xiaomi and its 2, 000 mAh. The powers of one and the other model can compensate for this difference by making their autonomies quite similar.
WE RECOMMEND YOU Huawei Mate Xs: new top-range folding smartphoneConnectivity: the Xiaomi is satisfied with connections to which we are already well accustomed to 3G, WiFi or Bluetooth, without the presence of 4G / LTE technology, something that does happen with the Galaxy S4.
Availability and price:
The Xiaomi can be found on the Amazon website at a price of around 125 euros, while the Galaxy S4 is for sale on the pccomponents website for 369 euros and in white or black.
