Corsair has a long history in the world of boxes, refrigeration and memory with an outstanding note always. On this occasion they have sent us the Corsair Carbide 600Q that meets all the requirements of lovers of silence. In addition to pleasing the design sector, liquid cooling with a fairly contained price.

Don't miss our review! Here we go!

First of all, we are grateful to Corsair for the trust placed in giving us the product for its review.

Technical characteristics Corsair Carbide 600Q

Corsair Carbide 600Q Unboxing and exterior

We find a robust packaging and a completely flat design, using a recyclable presentation to the environment. On the front we have an illustration of the box and a brief introduction to the technical specifications of the product.

Inside we find:

  • Corsair Carbide 600Q case. Instruction manual. Mounting hardware. Four flanges. 140mm fan.

The Corsair Carbide 600Q has dimensions of 454mm x 260mm x 535mm (width x height x depth) and a weight of 10 Kg. Its appearance is quite simple, attracting a minimalist and very elegant design. When we have the box in front for the first time, we appreciate that it is a high-end tower, which could perfectly cost 200 euros , but the reality is that it is worth much less.

The front is made of plastic, although at first glance it looks like brushed aluminum. As you can see it is divided into two areas. In the upper area it has a small pivoting door that allows us to access the two external 5.25 ″ bays, while the lower area is fixed and cannot be removed.

As we can see in this image, the box is covered in a rough texture that prevents and muffles the output of the interior sound.

We are located on the roof of the tower and we see that it has two USB 3.0 connections, another two for USB 2.0, an audio input and output, a speed controller (3 modes) for fans, the reset button and the power button.

Both on the left side and on the right side are completely smooth, without any type of window or breathing slot. As we have previously commented, the idea of this box is to have a very quiet team.

On the rear face of the Corsair Carbide 600Q there is a 120 or 140mm fan outlet, 8 expansion slots and the hole for the power supply. If we look at the lower area we find four legs that support the full weight of the box and a long filter that covers the entire surface.

Once the screws on the right side have been removed, we find the face where we will organize all the tower wiring. We find three dedicated zones for 2.5 ″ SSDs. This will allow us to have a better organization and more space on the face of the motherboard.

Each panel has a system that muffles the sound that can be caused by the graphics card, the motherboard (if it has active dissipation), hard drives and fans.

The Corsair Carbide 600Q is compatible with E-ATX, ATX, micro-ATX and Mini-ITX motherboards and has 8 expansion slots. Its internal structure is made of SECC steel painted in matt black.

The box allows us to install heatsinks with a maximum height of 20 cm, graphics cards of 37 cm and power supplies with a length of 21 cm.

On cooling, it allows us to install two 120 / 140mm fans at the front, three 120 or 140mm fans at the bottom and one 120/140 mm at the rear.

The Corsair Carbide 600Q incorporates a 3.5 ″ hard drive cab in the top area and two other 5.25 ″ bays for optical drives. The installation of all storage media can be done without the need for tools.

Final words and conclusion

The Corsair Carbide 600Q has shown throughout the review that it is one of the best cabinets on the market, both in minimalist design, performance, silence, and compatibility with high-end hardware.

In our tests it has managed to leave the i7-6700k at a fantastic 60ºC at maximum performance and our GTX 780 at just 60ºC. Although its great advantage is the ability to dampen the noise inside the PC, since when we turn on our computer we do not hear anything inside it. A 10 for Corsair!

Currently you can find them in online stores about 150 to 160 euros. A really good price and it is going to become one of our banners in our high performance PC configurations. A highly recommended purchase.
