Corsair GLAIVE RGB Pro is the second novelty mouse of the gaming brand and we will also take the opportunity to analyze the Corsair MM350 Champion Series mat. It comes ready to improve the benefits of the previous GLAIVE with the new Pixart PMW 3391 sensor that other equipment of the brand already incorporates. The design follows a continuous line with three different grip modules and RGB lighting in three areas. This mouse is quite large and is designed for FPS and MOBA, will it be your next acquisition? We will see soon.
We are going to thank Corsair for their trust in us by transferring their products to us for our in-depth analyzes.

Unboxing and design
Well, here we have the main presentation of the Corsair GLAIVE RGB Pro, which, as always, consists of a large flexible cardboard box with the brand's yellow and black colors. In it you can distinguish a photo of the mouse in action and in the back area more or less relevant information about the equipment, so you can never buy it blindly. What's more, if you had a chance, it would be best to try it before buying it.
The internal fixing system of the mouse is the traditional one of the brand in its latest rodent peripherals, that is, a rigid cardboard mold with plastic protection. In addition, in this case we have some extra elements, which also use this same fixing system.
Well, we get absolutely everything we find, being:
- The Corsair GLAIVE RGB Pro Mouse Two Grip Modules for the Left Area User Documentation
As with the new IRONCLAW Wireless, this GLAIVE RGB Pro takes the same design lines as previous models. In addition, we will find it available with that front area in silver aluminum and also in black. For the rest we have a mouse with a quite elegant design as well as aggressive for its frontal area on the side.
The quality of the finishes is perfect as you would expect from Corsair with a matte plastic shell in the upper area and dotted rubber grips on both sides to offer maximum comfort without heat and without slipping.
In the same way, it continues with the line of offering us up to three types of lateral grip modules, all of them gummed and provided with a magnet that will fix the element to the body of the mouse. The fixation is so good, we don't even notice that this module is detachable. For practical purposes, these three grips give us a similar feeling, since, in short, it is a fairly wide mouse and clearly oriented to palm and claw-palm grip.
The measures it offers us are 124.9 mm long, 68.5 mm wide (without the extensive grip) and 45.5 mm high. The weight is also about 115 grams, and we clearly notice a higher incidence in the front area, due to the aluminum plate it installs.
Before going to see the distribution of buttons, we will take advantage of these photos to better see the height and fall to the right. We could consider it as a narrow mouse, mainly because the rear area does not widen as much as other models such as the IRONCLAW. But once we pick it up, we notice that it really is very wide and oriented only to large hands.
Both in the front and rear areas we will have elements with RGB lighting managed by iCUE. We really liked the lighting representation, with clean lines and great uniformity and striking brightness. Likewise, the cable fixing system is quite forceful in hard plastic, although it is too far from the wingspan of the mouse.
The upper area consists of a total of 5 buttons. The main buttons have a slight inward curvature so that the fingers rest better. Omron switches with a capacity of more than 50 million clicks and a trip length of just 0.45mm have been used. They clearly present a touch typical of Corsair's top of the range mice and with a smaller path than for example the IRONCLAW, which allows higher speeds for FPS games.
The wheel is as always, huge, made of aluminum and completely covered with fluted rubber and quite soft, in this case it has no lighting. It has a little marked shooting, smooth and also little sound. Finally, the DPI selector buttons are quite protruding from the chassis, although being narrow, they practically do not hinder the grip.
We go to the side area of Corsair GLAIVE RGB Pro to see that we will only have two navigation buttons located on the left side. These buttons are quite protruding considering that the entire area is completely exposed. They are located in a medium-high area so they are perfectly accessible and their control is exquisite.
The lower areas on both sides are rubberized, and the truth is that, since they do not have an inward curvature, they make the mouse very wide, perhaps too wide.
We remove the side module to better see the clamping system. We have two grimaces on the mouse itself that fit perfectly with the holes in the grip module. A magnet will take care of gluing both elements perfectly and without play.
Two of them are quite similar, even in the grip experience I don't notice much difference. The third has a clearly wider fin, and also with a Teflon leg. With it, you can completely rest your thumb on the mouse, and personally I see it very comfortable for long hours of use.
The opening for the sensor is really small, although it is not an obstacle for this Pixart PMW 3391 optical sensor to offer us the best features on the market at a maximum resolution of 18, 000 DPI. The important thing is that the displacement of the point will be done pixel by pixel even in the largest resolutions such as 4K and 8K. Corsair GLAIVE RGB Pro also has a total of 5 DPI hops, we can now customize in 1 DPI hops from iCUE with a 1000 Hz ultrapolling.
The acceleration that this sensor supports is 400 IPS (inches per second) and accelerations of 50 G, much more than what our own arm can generate. In total we will have 7 customizable buttons based on macros, along with the possibility of storing a configuration profile on the mouse itself.
In total we will have four legs built in PTFE of a considerable size in all cases. Scrolling is very fast, also in part due to the excellent performance of the Corsair MM350 Champion Series mat in our hands.
Don't forget that connectivity is via wired USB 2.0-3.0. The cable in question has a textile braided coating for durability and a length of 1.8 meters.
ICUE software
Corsair GLAIVE RGB Pro can be fully managed with Corsair iCUE, the brand's quintessential software. We only have to have it updated to version 3.14 or higher and the mouse will be detected immediately. We also recommend checking from the configuration if there is a new version of the firmware of the same.
In the left area is where we will find the entire series of drop-down menus that contain all the settings. Do not forget that iCUE works through profiles, and in them all the configuration of the Corsair devices that we have installed are stored.
In the first menu we will find the options to modify the actions of each of the mouse buttons. It works through macro layers, although in them we can only modify the function of a key if we want to. As it appears in the first image. Or if we prefer, we can create macros for recurring actions that we use.
The next menu is the lighting menu. It works through layers, and we can apply as many as we want to each of the three available lighting areas. Or all of them at the same time, even being able to synchronize it with other Corsair peripherals. iCUE has an SDK function for compatible games to automatically manage lighting.
In the DPI menu (third), we can modify the 5 available jumps pixel by pixel and also the Sniper function, in case we want to use it on any of the mouse buttons.
The following menu deals with typical precision assist functions and angle adjustment. We do not recommend any of them, on the one hand, because the precision assistant introduces acceleration in the sensor, and the angle assistant is not something that we are going to use, unless we are designers.
Finally we have a section to calibrate the sensor on the surface that we are going to use. It works with all types of mats, so it is highly recommended to adjust the lift off distance of the sensor and avoid pixel skipping.
Grip and sensitivity tests
According to the brand, Corsair GLAIVE RGB Pro is a team oriented to use in gaming, specifically optimized for FPS and MOBA. We could add something, as long as we have a big hand or we are used to large mice, because this is it. Clearly the main switches are designed to be fast and the same is true of the sensor and grip modules.
A hand like mine 190 x 110 mm is quite comfortable on top of this mouse. The preferred grips will be palm grip and claw grip, we would not find any sense to grasp it with the tips because we would not reach any button. Personally I rest my palm on the back and arch my fingers to click with the tips. For my taste, I find it too wide, with the three grip modules, since none have a pronounced inward curvature and my hand is very open.
A question arises for me: if it is oriented to FPS and MOBA, why was a sniper button not placed in the side area? He really misses for gaming, or for triple clicking, especially for the price we must pay for him.
As always, let's see the results and impressions of the typical sensor tests, although we have already anticipated that the Pixart PMW 3391 is one of the best on the market, and this has been demonstrated with the IRONCLAW and the ELITE.
- Variance of movement: The procedure consists of putting the mouse in an enclosure of about 4 cm, then we move the equipment from one side to the other and at different speeds. In this way the line that we are painting in Paint will take a measure, if the lines vary in length, it will mean that it has acceleration, otherwise they will not have it. The variance is completely zero if we keep the precision assistance option disabled. If we activate it, the only thing we will be introducing is a quite considerable acceleration as we see in the previous image. The sensor is already precise enough to activate this option.
- Pixel Skipping: Performing slow movements, and at different DPIs in a 4K panel, pixel skipping is not seen in any DPI setting. Of course the more amount of DPI the more difficult it will be to navigate pixel by pixel, but at low resolutions the control is a delight, and something very positive is to be able to modify the DPI in jumps one by one. Tracking: Tests in games like Tomb Rider or DOOM or by selecting and dragging windows, the movement is correct without experiencing accidental jumps or plane changes. With the capacity of 400 in / s and 50 G, it will support movements much faster than our hands can carry out. Performance on surfaces: It has worked correctly on hard surfaces such as wood, metal and of course on mats. The performance in opaque and translucent crystals is correct. Again, we recommend making use of the calibration function for the surface.
Look, in this mouse we do notice the difference between making a square with the angle assistant and without it. On the part of the precision assistant, we did not notice anything different, so the fact of not using it due to the acceleration issue is reinforced.
Corsair MM350 Champion Series mat
We are also going to introduce this little review of the new Corsair mouse pad, which will be an excellent gaming accessory for anyone who is interested in buying one of these new mice.
The presentation does not have too many secrets, an elongated box to store the mat that will remain rolled up inside. It did not come with a plastic bag, so we imagine that it will be for the user to touch this mat through the window on one of the sides.
This model features a completely black and plain color with just a Corsair logo in the lower right corner. It has dimensions of 450 mm wide by 400 mm high, and a thickness of 5 mm, which is no small feat.
It is made of a textile microfiber mesh with improved slipping treatment, which is why a slight shine of the fibers is noticed in person. Their resolution is incredibly large, so much so that they look like pixels on a screen.
In the back we have a thick, really soft rubber coating, one of the softest we have touched in a long time, and that makes it truly comfortable and immovable from the site. The edges have some very high quality finishes also with thread, which seem to be very durable.
We must say that the displacement is incredibly fast to be a mat with textile finishes instead of hard plastic or aluminum. With little friction, and this large size makes it easy to comfort our hand and arm on top of it. Without a doubt, the name of Champion Series comes to your hair.
Final words and conclusion about Corsair GLAIVE RGB Pro and Corsair MM350 Champion Edition
Corsair GLAIVE RGB Pro is a mouse that I find quite comfortable for personal taste, not as much as the IRONCLAW, but it has a very attractive and truly Premium design like the elements in aluminum and that elegant side lighting. The position of the hand is a little open and forces it to be used with a palm grip. In any case, we do not recommend this model for small hands.
From the sensor we do not have names, the Pixart PMW 3391 is the best there is and it shows this in all tests. Be sure to calibrate the surface to gain extra precision and turn precision assistance off in the software so you don't enter acceleration when you play. What we do miss is a sniper button, especially when it comes to a mouse focused on FPS.

Take the opportunity to visit our guide to the best mats on the market
Software management is as good as ever, perfect detection, possibility to make macros, customize buttons, manage the three lighting zones independently, etc. Something with which I have not noticed significant differences in with the modular grip system. All offer a similar experience with the detail of having a very wide one to place the finger.
Regarding the mat, the movement on its surface is a delight. It is one of the fastest in its class, and also very comfortable, soft and very wide. The side edges are forceful and the top and bottom finish exactly the same.
Corsair GLAIVE RGB Pro will be available from April 25 for a price of 80 euros in Europe and 70 euros in the USA. And the Corsair MM350 mat in the absence of official data, will be around 30 euros. Of course they are not the cheapest on the market, but we believe that for the quality and performance it is an acceptable price.
