Corsair the world leader in thermal components, heatsinks, and enclosures continues to enhance its compact liquid cooling systems with the launch of its glamorous new Corsair H100i GTX. It is a pre-assembled kit with a 240mm radiator and a combo block (pump and tank) with excellent performance. Will you be able to pass our tests with a high-performance x99 team? All this and much more in our analysis.
We thank Corsair Spain for trusting the product for its analysis.

Corsair H100i GTX
As always the presentation is fantastic we have a rectangular box and quite robust. On the cover we find the large letters the exact model " H100i GTX " and an image of the liquid cooling kit. In the rest of the faces we visualize all the technical characteristics of the product. Once we open it, we have perfectly protected and cushioned packaging.
In its inner bundle we will find:
- Corsair H100i GTX Liquid Cooling Kit - Instruction Manual and Quick Guide - Two 120mm Fans - Support for both Intel and AMD - Various hardware for installation
It is a compact liquid cooling without maintenance and is equipped with a double grill aluminum radiator with dimensions of 276 x 125 x 30 mm. Will it enter my tower? If you have two 120 mm fan holes in the upper area, the answer is yes and without any problems. As you can see in the photos, it has enough space to operate at a good performance under low load with low RPM and at maximum power with high speed in the fans. It has two hoses already fixed with fixed fittings that in this new model are more flexible than the famous Corsair H100i or H100., Inside it houses a liquid prepared to avoid the existence of algae or any type of microorganism.
The block renews its exterior style but maintains the quality of its components: 100% copper base and quality pre-applied paste. The thickness of the block is quite thin (more if we compare it with previous or competitive models). While sealing with the pipes is very successful and the possibility of leakage of the internal liquid is unlikely. In the logo area we have a custom RGB led that will give a more pleasant feeling and we can combine it with our hardware.
Two cables come out of the block, the first to supply the block to the motherboard (USB), while the second serves to link with Corsair Link technology.
Regarding the fans, we have two high-performance Corsair SP120, and that is that they are capable of reaching a maximum speed of 2400 RPM and a static pressure of 70 CFM. They are PWM (4 pins) and the wiring is perfectly meshed in black and in the physical section it looks very good. It combines very well with any outfit!
It is compatible with all current Intel platforms (LGA 775 / 115x / 1366 / 201x CPU (Core ™ i3 / i5 / i7)) and AMD (FM2 + / FM2 / FM1 / AM3 + / AM3 / AM2 + / AM2) with their respective supports.
Assembly and installation
Assembly time is here and we have decided to do it on the most enthusiastic platform that exists so far: the LGA 2011-3 with X99 chipset and 6 or 8 core processors with HyperThreading technology. The first step is to fix the four screws for the platform, then we will proceed to insert the block in the processor and fix it with the four nuts (helping us) of the screwdriver and we will have fixed the block to our motherboard.
Now we just fix the radiator on the roof of our tower and install the two USB power and Corsair Link connections to the motherboard. This would conclude our installation.

To test the real performance of the heatsink we are going to stress the best processors on the market: Intel Haswell-E i7-5820k with Intel Burn Tests V2. We no longer use Prime95, because it is not a reliable test, as it is outdated software.
Our tests consist of 72 uninterrupted hours of work. In stock values and with overclocked 4400 mhz. In this way we can observe the highest temperature peaks and the average that the heatsink reaches. We must bear in mind that when playing or using other types of software, temperatures will drop dramatically between 7 to 12ºC.
How are we going to measure the processor temperature?
We will use the internal sensors of the processor. For that test on Intel processors we will use the CPUID HwMonitor application in its latest version. Although it is not the most reliable test of the moment, it will be our reference in all our analyzes. The ambient temperature is 20º.

Corsair Link Software
It is nothing new that Corsair incorporates the cable for the Corsair Link as standard in its liquid cooling kits. What can we do? This application allows us to control the speed of the fans, monitor temperatures and customize the LEDs on the block.
The software can be downloaded from the download section of the Corsair official website. Once installed, we find 4 tabs:
- System: they indicate all the characteristics and status of the equipment. Group: Group of groups and their monitoring. Graphs that allow us to see the evolution of the equipment while we play / work or at rest. Options: It allows us to adjust independent parameters and profiles.
If we combine it with a digital serial power supply, we can carry all the monitoring of the system, including voltages and regulation of its fan.
Final words and conclusion
The Corsair H110i GTX is a compact liquid cooling system for maximum performance processors, which we must install in the box together with a 240mm double grill radiator and two SP120L PWM fans that effectively dissipate the heat generated by the processor..
As usual, Corsair incorporates Corsair Link technology, which consists of monitoring temperatures, adjusting cooling performance and customizing LED lighting directly from the application.
In our tests with an i7-5820k we have obtained excellent results with a stock speed and overclock of 4400 mhz. Another of the positive points is the improvement in the noise of the pump and tubes with greater travel and flexibility than the previous generation.
In short, if you need a liquid cooling kit that makes the most of your platform, the Corsair H100i GTX will offer you the best temperatures and stability in your system. It is currently in store for a price of 130 euros, which becomes a 100% recommended product.
