Its aesthetics are in fashion with RGB LED lighting, and its fans are of the highest quality to offer great cooling capacity with very quiet operation on enthusiastic platforms.
Do you want to know more about this liquid cooling without maintenance? Do not miss our analysis?
As always, we thank Corsair for the trust placed in ceding the product to us for analysis.
Corsair H115i PRO technical characteristics
Unboxing and design
Corsair has opted for a premium presentation to offer the user its new Corsair H115i PRO liquid cooling. This comes in a cardboard box with a design based on the brand's corporate colors, and with high-quality images and product resolution.
The packaging also informs us of its most important features, such as compatibility with Intel and AMD platforms. Everything is on the opposite side of the cover.
We open the box and find the Corsair H115i PRO perfectly accommodated by several pieces of cardboard to prevent it from moving during transport. Along with the heatsink are attached:
- Corsair H115i PRO Two ML Series 140mm PWM fans Warranty and instruction manual All accessories required for mounting
We now focus on liquid cooling, it is an AIO kit that comes fully assembled and ready to be installed on the PC. This heatsink is made up of a radiator and a CPU block that includes the pump, both linked by corrugated tubes of the best quality, and fully sealed to prevent evaporation of the liquid inside, thanks to this we have a heatsink for many years.
The radiator reaches dimensions of 315 x 143 x 29 mm, so its size is medium and it will allow us to install two 140 mm fans, Corsair has attached two units to us so we will not have to buy them separately.
The radiator is made up of a multitude of aluminum fins, these are very thin to offer a large heat exchange surface, something very important for the performance of the heatsink to be maximum. The radiator is made entirely in black, its structure is very solid and shows the high quality of the materials that have been used in its manufacture.
The union of the tubes to the radiator is completely rigid, so it does not allow any type of rotation or movement in this regard. This union is completely sealed to prevent the refrigerant fluid from evaporating.
We now turn to see the CPU block, this is the part of the heatsink that makes contact with the processor to absorb the heat generated by it during operation. The base of the block is made of high quality copper, this material is one of the best conductors of heat, which is why it is usually used by the base of all heatsinks. Inside the block there is a micro-channel structure, these have the function of maximizing the heat exchange surface between the copper and the refrigerant fluid.
Within this block the pump has been included, it is a ceramic unit that has been designed to offer great durability, exceeding 50, 000 hours, so we will change the heatsink to get bored of it before it fails. This pump is in charge of moving the refrigerant fluid from the block to the radiator, where it will transmit heat to the air generated by the fans, then return to the block and start the cycle again.
The block has been the chosen place for the installation of an RGB lighting system, this is configurable using Corsair Iink software thanks to a connection cable to the motherboard. This block of water includes pre-applied thermal paste, and is compatible with all Intel and AMD platforms, with the exception of TR4.
We remind you that the Corsair H115i PRO is compatible for both Intel and AMD socket. Compatible list:
- All Intel Sockets: LGA 775 / 115x / 1366 / 201x and 2066 (Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 / i9 CPU) All AMD Sockets: AM4 / AM3 + / AM3 / AM2 + / AM2 / FM2 + and FM2.
Finally we see the two Corsair ML Series 140mm PWM fans, they are fans with magnetic levitation bearings to reduce friction, which minimizes wear and noise generated. These fans have the ability to rotate at a maximum speed of 1200 RPM, generating a noise of 20.4 dBA with an air flow of 55.4 CFM and a static pressure of 1.27 mmH2O.
Two top-quality fans, which will ensure very quiet operation and great performance, so that the processor stays cool even under the most demanding overclocking conditions.
Installation and assembly
In our case we are going to use a LGA 2066 platform which has a fairly simple installation and will not take more than a few minutes. Let's start!
The first step is to install the four set screws in the socket like this:
Once fixed, we must place the Corsair H115i PRO block on the heatsink. Remember that it is not necessary to apply thermal paste, the same copper base already incorporates one of the best thermal paste on the market. In the case that it is second hand, with three lines of thermal paste is sufficient for this CPU.
It is time to secure the block on top of the processor with four other threaded screws. Remember to secure it with a screwdriver, so that it is well fixed. What do we have left? Very little! Just connect the pump cable, the fans to the motherboard and the power to the power supply.
To conclude with the assembly, we leave you some images of how good the Corsair H115i PRO kit looks in our test bench and its RGB lighting effects. It looks great! Truth?

To test the actual performance of the heatsink we are going to stress with the powerful Intel i9-7900K at stock speed. As usual, our tests consist of 72 uninterrupted hours of work in stock values, since being a ten-core processor and with high frequencies, temperatures can be high.
In this way, we can observe the highest temperature peaks and the average that the heatsink reaches. We must bear in mind that when playing or using other types of software, the temperature will drop dramatically between 7 to 12ºC.
How are we going to measure the processor temperature? For this test we will use the internal sensors of the processor under the supervision of the HWiNFO64 application in its latest version. We believe it is one of the best monitoring software that exists today. Without further delay, we leave you the results obtained:
New iCUE software
A few days ago we were talking about the new Corsair iCUE software that is in the testing phase and that we liked a lot in the first contact.
We wanted to take advantage in this analysis of the possibilities it offers us with the new Corsair H115i PRO kit.
- Lighting effects: It allows us to select different profiles to have some pretty cool effects. We find it very useful when it comes to knowing the temperature of our processor, since in green it means that it is in excellent temperatures, while in red they are high. Other effects such as rainbow or spiral offers us a pleasant visual experience. Performance: By default it maintains a balanced profile, but in case you need absolute silence you can select the QUIET or Zero PWM profile. while if you need to have a good air flow because you are doing very heavy tasks, you can choose the extreme profile. The balanced pump does not hear anything at all, but if you select the extreme profile (it does not make much sense) it is heard slightly. Graphics: For monitoring lovers, these statistics will delight you. A way to quickly check that everything is in order. Notifications: We can also create notifications for when the processor reaches a temperature a notification reaches us.
As you can see everything looks great and Corsair's work is splendid. We are sure that they will insert more options and level of customization.
Final words and conclusion about Corsair H115i PRO
The Corsair H115i PRO is positioned in the elite of the liquid refrigerations that exist today. Its thick 280 mm radiator, a renewed block, its almost no sound in the pump and its excellent software are its main guarantees.
We have been able to verify that it perfectly supports an Intel Core i9-7900X processor with 10 cores and 20 threads. The fans have done a good job, as the Corsair ML140 is one of the highest performing series on 140mm fans. The results obtained are: 29 ºC at rest, 51 ºC in full and maximum peak of 69 ºC. Great results from Corsair!

Its store price ranges in online stores for about 145 euros. We believe that it is a somewhat high price and for this price range we can buy the Corsair H150i with 360mm radiator (+30 euros). Before concluding, we want to remind you that its high compatibility with Intel and AMD processors are another point in favor. Great Corsair job! ?
