Every day aesthetics on the PC is more important! For this reason Corsair launches its new high-end DDR4 RAM memories with a brutal aesthetic: Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO. We already saw her in person at Computex and she was captivated.

During a few days of hard tests… Will they have made the cut in our test bench? Will they be compatible with second-generation AMD Ryzen? If you want to know all this and more, don't miss our analysis. Here we go!

We thank Corsair Spain for trusting the product for its analysis.

Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO technical characteristics

Unboxing and design

Corsair presents its product in very colorful packaging. On the cover we find an image of the memory module illuminated in full color, along with compatibility with its new iCUE software, Intel XMP certificate, capacity and serial speed of the memory kit.

Already on the back we see all the technical specifications in different languages.

The plastic blister perfectly protects the memories during transport. Once we open the box we find the following bundle:

  • Two Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO modules Quick Quick Guide.

The pack consists of two DDR4 modules of 8GB each, making a total of 16GB. They are proven to run at a frequency of up to 3600 Mhz and at a CL18 latency (18-19-19-39) with a voltage ranging from 1.35v nominal.

As they told us at the Corsair booth at Computex, they will soon launch a model with a speed of 4700 MHz. This being the fastest RAM for sale in the world.

As expected, the modules are 100% compatible with the XMP 2.0 profile that integrates the Z370 (LGA 1151) platforms and the X299 range (LGA 2066). But… What about AMD Ryzen first and second generation? Well, we have decided to try an X470 motherboard and it has been caught at the moment using the AMP profile. That is, they are initially 100% compatible with AMD. This is great for those users who need lots of cores without spending a grassland on a super enthusiastic platform.

We really like the design and you can see that the batteries have been installed compared to the Vengeance RGB version. As we can see, the lighting reaches the "elbow" of the RAM memories.

Keep in mind that these are high-profile memories, this means that they can collide with our heatsink and although it is less and less common that it happens, it is very important that you measure and check the compatibility with your cooling system.

It maintains the good components that we have already analyzed in other ranges of RAM memory, with its PCB of up to 10 layers that gives us greater performance. Thus improving bandwidth and a much tighter response time.

Also note that no cables are required for assembly. This helps us to have a clean and smooth installation. In addition, its heatsink provides us with a great improvement in thermal conductivity for excellent memory cooling, even by overclocking.

This kit offers us the possibility of choosing between 16.8 million colors through its software. In addition to numerous fully customized effects to our liking. The improvement has been beastly and they have risen to the aesthetic level with respect to their rivals.

ICUE Software - Personalization with two clicks

A couple of months ago we showed you the full potential of Corsair's iCUE software. Little by little we are checking how it evolves and all the possibilities it offers us. Using Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO memories allows us a wide variety of options.

We find it super interesting that Corsair allows us to choose which DIMM socket to light up first. It is quite common to find that the even modules light up first and then the odd ones. Now we can choose to have modules 1-2-3-4 light up synchronously.

As expected, it allows us to choose a wide variety of lighting effects, their speed and lighting direction. Also see the specifications that we have set at all times, monitor the temperatures of each module and schedule notifications. A complete software luxury and totally free!

We have used a top of the range X470 motherboard and an AMD Ryzen 7 2700 processor that we have been using for many months in our test bench. All the results have been tested with the 3600 MHz profile and the applied voltage of 1.35V in Dual Channel. Let's see the results obtained!

Final words and conclusion about Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO

The new Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO memories come to the market to meet the needs of the most demanding users. Its redesigned PCB offers the best signal quality for the highest level of performance and stability to our configuration.

One of the great innovations is its new multi-zone dynamic RGB lighting system. Composed of a total of 10 very bright RGB LEDs that almost completely illuminate the module.

At the performance level , we have verified that it is fully compatible with Intel platforms with the XMP certificate and by AMD Ryzen with the AMP certification (although it is not indicated in its bundle). Our tests have shown us that its performance is sublime.

We recommend reading the best RAM memory on the market

Although this kit runs at 3600 MHz, which is already a good frequency, Corsair's colleagues told us to get a 100% compatible kit with a frequency of 4700 MHz. It is only a matter of days / weeks to become official. How you can see that Corsair is one of the most prestigious manufacturers of RAM memory in the world!

We also have to make special mention of their new CORSAIR iCUE software that allows us to characterize any Corsair product that we have installed. With memories in particular, we can customize timing, lighting, and monitoring.

Currently we can find this memory kit available in the main online stores. From kits at 192 euros to 980 euros. Is it really worth it? We believe that few manufacturers today can compete on customization and performance. For our part we recommend this memory kit.
