The Corsair Void Elite Surround comes into our hands, a high-end, multi-platform compatible gaming headset with 7.1 sound for PC and premium 50mm transducers.

Unboxing
We start by analyzing the packaging. The Void Elite Surround are presented to us in a black and yellow satin cardboard box. On its cover we can see an image of the headphones accompanied by its model and Corsair logo. As highlights we have cross-platform compatibility, Discord Certificate and iCUE software from Corsair.
Under the name of the model we are detailed that they are premium gaming headphones with 7.1 surround sound.
Continuing along the sides, on the right we find the Corsair slogan ( Never miss a beat ) accompanying the model, while on the left we have a front image of the Corsair Void Elite Surround accompanied by the logo and the features “Premium Gaming Headset with sound 7.1 ”surround
On the other hand, the most powerful aspects of the Corsair Void Elite Surround as well as their technical characteristics are detailed in eight languages, which we already explained in the table at the beginning of the analysis.
- Very comfortable memory foam ear cushions and microfiber mesh. Premium custom-fit 50mm neodymium transducers. Optimized omnidirectional microphone. Immersive 7.1 surround sound on PC.
Upon removing the case we are greeted by a yellow box inside which is the cardboard structure where the helmets are packed. We can also find below it the rest of the components.

Corsair Void Elite Surround Headphone Design
The Corsair Void Elite Surround represent a hybrid between aluminum and black plastic parts with matte finishes and shine according to the surface. They are large headphones and a certain weight, just by having them in hand you can see a certain robustness in their design.
The supraural band
The headband has a matte black plastic exterior finish. On both sides we can see adjustable extenders to adapt them as best as possible.
Both height adjusters offer up to nine possible positions.
The next section has the Corsair name also screen printed. From it starts a steel bar that connects the headband with the headphones, providing great solidity.
This action point also offers a horizontal angle of rotation to the user in addition to the traditional vertical movement as a hinge.
The interior of the headband is covered with foam rubber covered in fabric also black with a good thickness and soft touch.
The headphones
The sound drivers are inside a plastic casing with a mixed finish between matte and glossy in which we can see the Corsair logo in light gray.
In the left earphone we find the connection of the cable, a wheel for the volume and a button to mute the microphone.
The headphones do not have any passive noise cancellation specification, but certainly their structure and the density of the foam serve as a mitigating effect on the external sound. The cable connection has an additional rubber reinforcement to protect it from accidental pulls that can damage the connection, while the mute button is discreetly integrated into the side a few centimeters from the microphone itself.
The microphone
The micro is an element that has surprised us a lot. At first glance it seemed to us that it was made of rigid plastic, but nothing was further from reality. Its robustness is due to the shape of the external structure.
It turns out to be flexible, allowing us to rotate it to position it curved in front of our lips. It is not removable, but it can be tilted vertically to remove it from our field of vision when it is not in use.
Also in the box we are offered the possibility of sponging the microphone to alleviate undesired effects caused by breathing or condensation of the breath by proximity.
The wire
Corsair Void Elite cable is not twisted, but it is 4mm thick and quite sturdy. Both the connection of the headphones and the 3.5 jack have a reinforcement in the gray plastic socket against unwanted jerks.
The jack is a mixed type for audio and microphone, although unfortunately an adapter for (for example) older computer models is not provided in the box. For the other platforms, such as PS4 or XBox One this is indifferent since they also have mixed ports
The USB 7.1 Surround Sound Adapter
This little plastic gadget is responsible for bringing Surround 7.1 to PC users. It consists of a USB type A socket attached to the adapter in which we introduce the 3.5 jack plug.
Something to keep in mind is that for the 7.1 surround sound to work properly you must download the iCUE software and plug in the headphones using the USB adapter.Like other well-known brands, Corsair offers its users iCUE Software with which they can further configure peripherals connected to the computer.
In iCUE we can activate and deactivate stereo or 7.1 sound, as well as choose between several preset sound profiles. It is also possible to create and edit profiles to our liking, storing them in a list where you can select them conveniently.

Final words and conclusions about Corsair Void Elite Surround
What we have analyzed today are headphones that have in their favor not only the sound quality, but also the materials with which they are manufactured. While 7.1 is a luxury that only PC users can enjoy, stereo is undoubtedly intense and vibrant, with nothing to envy.
The Corsair Void Elite Surround are launched with a starting price of € 69.99. For a premium range of headphones, the price is very affordable and details such as lights or braided cable are sacrificed, but not materials or sound.
