The DeepCool CF120 is a new PC fan kit that has been designed with the aim of meeting all the demands of today's enthusiasts. These new fans incorporate addressable RGB lighting, which does not neglect quality or performance, something that often happens in models that focus more on aesthetics than on what really matters.
First of all, we thank DeepCool for the trust placed in ceding the product to us for analysis.

Unboxing and design
The manufacturer has sent us its pack of three DeepCool CF120 fans, which come in a fairly colorful cardboard box based on the dominant blue and black tones. The box has a maximum quality print, which shows us the design and details the most important technical specifications of the fans, which we will discover throughout this complete analysis.
We open the box and we find the three fans along with all the accessories, all protected by a plastic blister pack so that it reaches our hands in perfect condition. In total the bundle includes the following elements:
- Three DeepCool CF120 fans. RGB controller for 3 fans. Hub for 4 PWM fans. Two adapters to RGB connectors. Three sets of 4 metal screws.
We finally have a close-up of the DeepCool CF120 fans, the most modern in the company to conquer demanding gamers and users. These fans are manufactured in a high-quality design, with a rubberized corner frame to help minimize vibrations, resulting in quieter operation at full performance.
The impeller is based on a design of nine translucent blades, something that will allow to generate a truly spectacular lighting effect once in operation. These fans have the capacity to rotate at a speed between 500 and 1500 RPM, generating an air flow of up to 56.5 CFM each and a static pressure of 1.63 mmH20. The optimized impeller design keeps noise very low, at just 27 dBa.
These DeepCool CF120 fans have been designed to last a long time, which is why the manufacturer has opted for their new Hydro Bearing bearings, designed to minimize friction and thus the wear caused by their operation during long sessions.
These fans have a PWM connector to intelligently adjust their spin speed based on processor temperature. They also have an A-RGB connector to control the rotation speed and lighting from the motherboard software or the attached controller. These fans are compatible with Asus Aura, ASrock RGB, Gigabyte RGB Fusion and MSI Mystic Light management applications.
DeepCool CF120 includes 12 pieces of independently programmable RGB LED lights, providing total illumination for your team, achieving magical lighting effects with controls including 3 dynamic modes (waves, cycles and breathing) and 3 monochrome modes (constant light, breathing and meteorite), all with up to 8 different colors to choose from.

To test the actual performance of the heatsink we are going to stress with the powerful Intel Core i7-7900X at stock speed. As usual, our tests consist of 72 uninterrupted hours of work in stock values, since being a ten-core processor and with high frequencies, temperatures can be high.
In this way, we can observe the highest temperature peaks and the average that the heatsink reaches. We must bear in mind that when playing or using other types of software, the temperature will drop dramatically between 7 to 12ºC.
How are we going to measure the processor temperature? For this test we will use the internal sensors of the processor under the supervision of the HWiNFO64 application in its latest version. We believe it is one of the best monitoring software that exists today. Without further delay, we leave you the results obtained:
Final words and conclusion about DeepCool CF120
Deepcool is treading very hard in the gaming market and especially with high-end hardware at a very affordable price. As we have seen the DeepCool CF120 are a pack of three 120mm fans with very good characteristics.
The noise / air flow ratio is remarkable, having a performance of high-end fans. As we have seen a slight improvement in the fans of the Deepcool Castle 240 that we analyzed this week, it is minimal. But is it ideal to improve the lighting of our chassis?
Its price ranges as in most competing fans: about 65 euros. There is a wide variety of fans for this price range, with higher or lower quality, we simply must choose the one that suits us best and if RGB lights are what we need on our PC.
