Deepcool quadstellar review in Spanish (full analysis)

Innovating within the PC chassis market is not easy, because the market is full of very varied models with peculiar characteristics. DeepCool QuadStellar is one of those chassis that manages to distinguish itself from the rest like no other does, it is a model that was unveiled a year ago at Computex 2017, but we have had to wait for this summer of 2018 to have it in our hands.

Unboxing and design

If the DeepCool QuadStellar is big. Even more so is the box in which it is presented to the user. The box is based on a design with the brand's corporate colors and the best quality printing.

Both the front and rear offer us very high resolution and quality images of this spectacular chassis. We open the box and find the gigantic chassis protected by a thick polystyrene frame and a cloth bag so that it does not suffer any type of damage during transport.

DeepCool encloses all the accessories necessary to assemble the equipment, such as a manual, cable ties, cables, a large mat and all the set of screws that we will need to assemble the PC. In this way we will not have to buy anything separately.

After taking everything out of the box we already have the impressive DeepCool QuadStellar in the foreground. It is a chassis that looks like nothing we can find on the market, it consists of a total of four compartments, each of which could go through a complete chassis. These compartments will allow us to organize all the components perfectly, in such a way that the heat of some does not affect the others, with this it is possible to maximize the cooling efficiency of our PC.

The set reaches dimensions of 483 x 493 x 538 mm with a weight of 15.4 kg. The best quality SECC steel and tempered glass have been used for its construction.

In the center of the front we see the manufacturer's logo. If we see the chassis from this perspective, its design closely resembles a four-petal flower. Each of the four compartments has a tempered glass window that can be opened remotely. To manage the opening we will make use of a mobile application, which allows us to set the temperature at which we want them to open. It also allows us to manage the speed of the fans in a very comfortable way. The finishing touch is put by its RGB LED lighting system, which will give it a spectacular aesthetic once it works.

Each of the compartments also has a tempered glass window on one of the sides, thus allowing us to see the interior of the equipment perfectly.

The design of this chassis allows us to enjoy in a very simple way a great view of all the components inside.

At the top we have the I / O panel, which offers us two USB 3.0 ports along with the 3.5 mm connectors for audio and micro. The truth is that offering only two USB 3.0 ports in a chassis as large as this seems to us to be very scarce, because if something offers us enough it is space to place a large number of elements.

The base offers us four large rubber feet, in this way the chassis will rest perfectly on the table with great firmness, it will also prevent vibrations from being transmitted.

Interior and assembly

We now turn to look at the back of the DeepCool QuadStellar, the design is based on a large number of vents for ventilation, something that will allow us to enjoy excellent air flow to all the most critical components.

One of the four compartments is reserved for the power supply, while another is dedicated to the installation of all hard drives.

This chassis allows us to mount a total of nine units with a size of 3.5 inches or 2.5 inches, surely you do not lack space for all your favorite multimedia content.

Added to these nine drives is a tenth of 2.5 inches visible from the outside, making it the perfect place to put your most beautiful SSD.

Next, we have a dedicated compartment for the motherboard next to the hole in the front, we have space to mount a unit with a size up to E-ATX, being perfect for the most demanding users who want to have the most in their PC. Likewise, it also allows mounting a micro-ATX or mini-ITX motherboard and the possibility of placing a heatsink up to 110 mm high, a figure that seems very low to us, so it will be better to opt for a radiator of up to 360 mm that we can place on the tray behind the front. It also offers us no less than eight expansion slots, perfect for enjoying high doses of connectivity.

In this compartment for the motherboard we also find a module with the capacity to accommodate up to three graphics cards with a double slot design.

For this we will have to use a support and a riser for each card, only one of them is included as standard. The three cards will be perfectly visible from the front, perfect to appreciate the beautiful designs of today.

Cable management is very simple in the DeepCool QuadStellar, although it is not for less with all the space it offers us. This will allow us to have the entire interior very well organized, being perfect to enjoy the best aesthetics and avoid creating refrigeration problems.

Each of the four compartments allows mounting a 120mm fan, to which the radiator of up to 360mm will be added on the front. The fans are all connected to a concentrates, which allows us to manage them from the smartphone application in a very simple way.

All these features make the DeepCool QuadStellar a chassis designed for the most demanding users, since it will make it possible to mount an incredible PC, with a brutal aesthetic, and avoiding the cooling and overheating problems that can occur when combining all the hardware more powerful on the market. In the event that the temperatures rise too high, we can make one of the front windows open, or all of them if we want, thanks to this we will allow the heat to escape and a greater entry of fresh air into the equipment.

As you can imagine, it is not a simple assembly and it will take us a long time if we want to make it perfect. One of the problems that we have found is that we have not been able to connect the graphics card in its space because we needed extensions to get there and at that time we did not have, we opted for a typical assembly. One of the great advantages of being able to mount / dismount the entire chassis to our liking.

Final words and conclusion about DeepCool QuadStellar

The DeepCool QuadStellar case is one of the best PC cases we've tested so far. A spectacular and unique design, some 10 construction materials, a very good cooling and a glamor that no other chassis will give you.

We really liked that it allows us to separate the graphics cards from the rest of the components. Although we see a second utility, mount an SLI without toasting our beloved GPUs? Of course, if you decide to place the graphics card with the RISER PCI Express, we recommend you buy some power extensions, because surely your power supply does not have such long cables to reach the upper cabin.

We have also been pleased with the incorporation of a quality PCI Express Riser and the "smart" chassis system that opens the front "four windows" to insert fresh air inside the chassis, both at the beginning and when it reaches high temperatures while playing. Also, to tell you that the internal cooling system is quite good for configurations by air as liquid. We are very surprised with this high-end chassis.

It is true that the price of 449 euros is not the biggest attraction of the chassis. But we can assure you that it is worth every euro that we want to invest in it. It is not a simple PC case, it allows you to separate the components, offers great possibilities at the storage level, cooling is another level and is ideal for enthusiastic configurations.
