The new Eizo ColorEdge CS2740 monitor joins the range of monitors that includes many of the advanced features of the Eizo ColorEdge CG professional series.

The Eizo CS2740 is a significant improvement as it has a higher resolution at 4K (3, 840 x 2, 160) instead of WQHD (2, 560 x 1, 440) compared to its predecessor, as well as a modern and versatile additional interface with USB-C. The Eizo CS2740 is expected to launch in May at a price of 1, 547 euros (RRP), making it cheaper than its predecessor, the CS2730, which cost around 1, 900 euros at market launch.

The panel it uses is of the IPS type with a color depth of 10 bits. It has a brightness of 350 nits, a contrast of 1: 1, 000, and covers the Adobe RGB color space by more than 99%. Integrated hardware calibration with 16-bit LUT can use Eizo's free ColorNavigator 7 tool and a compatible calibration sensor to perform a color calibration in just 90 seconds - perfect for professional-quality graphic design and editing.

USB Type-C connectivity allows the monitor to display video, transmit USB signals, and supply power (60W delivery) to a connected device, such as a smartphone or laptop, using a single cable. Users can simply connect and get creative without worrying about extra cable clutter. The monitor's wide color gamut reproduces 99% of the Adobe RGB color space.

Eizo gives a 5-year guarantee for this monitor, which gives us great support in case of failure, which I doubt. The ColorEdge CS2740 is already being shipped to stores. Availability date varies by country.
