The amd x570 chipset will have compatibility with pcie 4.0 and usb 3.1 gen2
Table of contents:
We are well aware that AMD is preparing an X570 chipset to accompany the new Ryzen 3000 series of processors. The new chipset will be accompanied by others with more modest features (as usual) among which are the B550.
PCIe 4.0 will be exclusive to the X570 chipset, B550 will not have support for the new standard
The new information suggests that the X570 motherboards will have PCIe 4.0 support, but not the B550, which would stick with PCIe 3.0. In this way, AMD would further differentiate both chipsets, with exclusive technology for X570 motherboards.
In addition to this, the new chipsets will contain USB 3.1 gen2, which will offer 10Gbps speed.

The X570 chipset would have 40 PCIe tracks, although some of them would have been shared with the SATA interface. These cards would allow eight USB 3.1 gen2 (10 Gbps) ports, plus four USB 2.0 connections (but not USB 3.2 Gen2).
The impact that PCIe 4.0 will have on current graphics cards remains to be seen, and whether these will manage to take full advantage of its additional bandwidth. What we know is that PCIe 4.0 doubles the bandwidth that PCIe 3.0 offers, which translates to about 16 GT / s. PCIe 4.0 was a standard that was already being used in the data center segment, but it had not yet made the leap towards personal computers.
AMD is expected to be at Computex to reveal its new series of Zen 2- based Ryzen processors, along with the new set of X570 chipsets to get the most out of them.
